Docking station for external hard drives

Pros: Handy and fast to use. All the cables you need.

Cons: The memory card interfaces do not work if you are using the eSATA cable for faster speed.
You must use the USB interface and cable.
It looks like the memory cards are able to get power only from the USB connected cable.

I like this docking station because have lots of drives laying around and am tired of hooking up USB and power cables to access my drives which I lay of the floor.

Stopped responding just after the 1 yr warranty expired. Had been intermittent before it finally just stopped. Can't get any computer to connect. Moved drive to an enclosure and it showed up without issue.

Pros: works fine when power isn't cutting out

Cons: power goes out if the power cord is moved

power adaptor wiring began intermittently working from day one. had to bend wire at connection to device and tape it to get to stay on. still goes out if moved though.

My apologies for the inconvenient experience you have faced with the power adapter for this docking station. If you would like, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement as we cover this product with a one year warranty. Obtaining the replacement would be of no additional cost to you. If wish to proceed, please let me know and I will get that started right away. Truly sorry again for the trouble and I hope this helps!

    Handy Little Device`Eric

Pros: Convenient form factor, includes Esata cable, works without issues, no problems using in Linux.

Cons: HDD Door broke after ~ 6 mo. RMA'd without issue. Biggest con is being without the device while it's being RMA'd. I rely on it on a daily basis.

This is the most often used device I own. I really really recommend using the Esata interface vs. the USB. If you don't have an Esata port, consider purchasing a internal sata to esata bracket. They're sold for ~1$ here on Monoprice. Don't make separate orders, just go ahead and spend the dollar now, you will want it. Provides much higher transfer rates. Drives can get slightly toasty when you are writing to them continuously, but nothing too crazy, and certainly normal use causes less issues.

    Work as expected

Pros: Lots of ports, works great

Cons: Construction feels a little bit fragile

I used it on my Macbook pro, and it worked as expected. No installation was required. Non empty disks were readable immediately, and I could format empty ones without issues.
