I review home theater products professionally... I have never seen an HDMI cable that changes the appearance of HD or UHD images. Even comparing this sub-$50 cable to cables of the same length selling for hundreds of dollars and even up to $200 in long lengths like this (35 feet) and this Cabermet series 18 Gbps HDMI cable produces images equal to the images produced by ANY HDMI cable at ANY price. To change the appearance of images, the HDMI cable would have to change the data while it passes through the cable and those changes would have to be "intelligent' requiring a processing chip. There is no such thing as a higher quality 1 or 0. If the pixel values are 20,55, 157... the cable either delivers those three numbers for that pixel or it doesn't. The cable doesn't know how to change that pixel to make the image look better. If the cable does change the data, error correction will "fix" the data putting it back to the correct numbers... up to a point... too many errors and you'll lose the image entirely or get "sparklies" if you are right on the borderline of losing the image entirely. Sparklies are random pixels that are either too bright, too dark or the wrong color because values are corrupted severely due to signal loss. As long as the signal is strong, and the Redmere chip takes care of that, the cable delivers the pixels encoded on the disc. That's all it is supposed to do and all it CAN do.

PROS: Size, speed, quality of display
