Great product at an amazing price!
My TV only has 1 HDMI input so I'm using them with a 2X1 switch from Monoprice.
It may be my imagination, but the first set of cables produced a grainer picture from the Dish HD receiver! I though that all HDMI cables were the same, either they worked or not.
Now the picture looks like it did before the switch. Always very pleased with Monoprice quality!
PROS: Works great high quality
CONS: Not free
Works great with everything, works just as good as my friends monster cable
CONS: None at all
PROS: Terrific cable for an amazing price. 10ft HDMI for under $10 INCLUDING shipping! Where are the cons here
I stupidly went to Best Buy and browsed around. There were cables locked behind plexiglass displays with gold plating costing hundreds of dollars. Thankfully a helpful employee stopped me from making a stupid decision to get those, explaining that there's no proven increase in quality by these snake oil products. I eventually settled on the cheapest cable there which was 5ft cable from Best Buy's store brand: Dynex. It still took over 32 dollars plus tax away from my purse.
When I got to my parent's house, I discovered that 5ft was a very cumbersome span to operate a TV with a laptop. I was reluctant to go back to get a longer one due to the unreasonable price increases.
So that's when my little brother stepped in and discovered my dilemma. He explained to me that I was ripped off and that a few websites sell cables for WAY less than retail value. At first I was skeptical thinking that it would be a difficult task where I had to make multiple searches and that the cables would be of questionable quality. That was when he reiterated the Best Buy employee, by stating from his experience there is no difference in quality, and handed me my laptop with monoprice.com on the front page.
I ended up buying one 15ft cable and two 10ft cables for UNDER TWENTY DOLLARS including the shipping and handling! Three cables for far less than the one I bought earlier. Later the package even came early. All the cables not only work, but work as well as the 100 dollar Monster brand cable my Aunt got suckered into buying. The 5ft Dynex cable ended up back at Best Buy, who is staying out of the black by cheating people who don't know enough about technology. Thanks to my brother for introducing me to this site, I now recommend it to all my family, friends, and even enemies.
Now I can use said laptop with said HDTV comfortably.
PROS: It works and that's all that matters!
