Works like a charm... I will note that 1.5 feet is really, really short. Would love a 2 foot option, but this works as advertised...

Pros: Works for only a few weeks.

Cons: Failed to last longer than three weeks - the bad experience I will remember to not to buy more cables from this vendor.

I bought this cable to use with my KVM switch a month ago. The cable worked for a few weeks, and then it went bad. I ended up with replacing it with my 3-foot long cable in order to get my display to show up gain.

The replacement cable seems to last longer than the one I originally received with the order.

I will let you know if it fails less than three months.

Thank you for the follow-up question.

Does not work for Macbook Pro to 5k

    Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Doesn't work for dual-to-5k application. Being on the bleeding edge.

I'd purchased this for a Macbook Pro Retina (2015) dual Thunderbolt to HP 5k monitor solution. While the cables will work singly for 4k, plugging in the second one blanks the display, and it will not find 5k. So I am in need of another solution, as I am yet unable to access the full ($1,100) 5k.

    Good short DP 1.2 cable

Pros: short cable, good construction on the connectors thin cable

Cons: Short (make sure this is what you want)

This cable is very short. At 1.5 ft is just enough to connect a laptop or mini computer right next to the monitor.
I wanted a short cable to declutter a desk, and this works. It's thin (except for the coils at either end( and flexible enough. The connectors have a nice sheen. I'm using it with a 1920x1200 monitor on a MBP, and have no issues. The DP 1.2 spec should be able to drive 4K monitors. The cable also carries multi-channel audio and works fine in my setup.
Note: Not shown on the picture but the DisplayPort side has a clip on one side (as per the standard) so the connector has to be pressed when plugging or removing. This is like in any other DP cable I've seen.
