    Works as expected
I wanted a cable to let me use my 27" iMac as a display for my MacBookPro. This cable, along with a USB switch (to keep me from having to unplug and replug), did the trick.

    great value
I wanted to use my 27" imac as an external monitor for my macbook pro laptop, and this was a super economical way to do so. Worked perfectly, and costs $25 or so less than the cable they try to sell you at the apple store.

Perfect for iMac in Target Display Mode
    5/5

PROS: Worked great for connecting a few PCs and MacBook Pro to my 27" 2009 iMac which support target display mode. Remember folks, a Thunderbolt cable is not the same as a Mini DisplayPort cable. The newer iMacs only support Thunderbolt cables for Target Display mode and the 2009/2010 iMac only support Mini-DisplayPort.

Does the job it's supposed to
The shipping was very fast. I am very happy with the purchase of this cable. It saved me a lot of money, plus those other guys don't even sell it on their website anymore!

PROS: You plug it in and it just works.

    CONS: None

    Works as advertised
It works perfectly, to connect the 27" Core i7 iMac to my 13" MacBook Pro. As soon as I plug in the iMac, it automatically switches to secondary screen mode.

    That was easy.
Found quickly the cable I was looking for. Received it in a couple of business days.

    PROS: Easy, fast.

    CONS: None.

    Mini display cable works!
Exactly the cable I needed for my iMac and Macbook Pro which has Mini DisplayPort, but not the newest Thunderbolt connection. Though they are physically the same, the connections are not cross-compatible.

PROS: Connects between my Macbook Pro and iMac and allows me to use the iMac as a second monitor and it's internal sound.

CONS: Non that I have seen.

It's a cable. It works. It's cheap. What more do you want?
I use this cable to connect my newish Retina MacBook Pro to an older (2009) 27" iMac to use the iMac as an external display. Works great. Plugs in to the Thunderbolt port on the MBP and the MiniDisplay Port on the iMac. Then perfection.

The ONLY flaw I can possibly find in this cable is that there is no icon to denote the "top" of the connector. This means that connecting it is sometime a trial and error process. But other than that, it's an inexpensive and functional cable. It

    PROS: Inexpensive. Functional. Extremely Cable-y.

CONS: There is no icon printed on the cable so determining "up" can be a trial and error process. This isn't a big deal if you pull it in and forget it, but I use it with a laptop and connect and disconnect it often.
