MDIN7 to 3-RCA Component Cable for Infocus Projector
This component (YPbPr) cable is intended for use with InFocus projectors that use a 7-pin Mini connector for component video signals. Supported models include the InFocus LP500, LP530, X1, and SP-4800, as well as the ASK-Proxima C109. The cable features a male MDIN7 connector, which resembles an S-Video connector, on one end and three color-coded female RCA jacks on the other end, each with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. The connectors and pins are gold plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.
Note that this cable is only compatible with 480i signals. Progressive signals are not supported.
This is NOT an S-Video cable. S-Video uses a 4-pin Mini DIN, while this uses a 7-pin Mini DIN connector designed for use with InFocus projectors.
PROS: Great fast transaction and shipping, great price.
PROS: Quality build, seems to work great.
CONS: none that I can think of!
PROS: Great quality, price, and fast shipping.
CONS: Does not work with normal S-video connections
The description should be more clear about this.
It would be nice if a 4 pin S-video to component cable was made but the all appear to be a 7 pin cable which won't work for standard components such as my fathers old standard def directTV box...
PROS: It might work with the camcorder but that isn't what I wanted....
CONS: This is not the cable that I thought it was... It was therefore a waste of money.
I would have expected a simple conversion between Svideo to component because the component is really just one more splitting of the colors but unfortunately it doesn't exist.
I think standard def is basically dead anyway and most AV receivers can do the job of uprading everything to HDMI these days. My father just doesn't happen to have one.
This WILL NOT WORK on your regular s video for televisions. Ive since, read about a lot of people who buy this product hoping it will do that. Its probably why e-bay is flooded with them.
Shame on me for not counting the pins, shame on tech support for not catching it when I was asking about the product. At least Im only out $3.00
