Avoid having excess Ethernet cable lying around by building your own cables to the exact length needed using this Bulk Ethernet Copper Cable from Monoprice!

    Features:

    • Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) Category 6 Ethernet cable
    • 24AWG stranded, pure bare copper conductors
    • CM (In-Wall) fire safety rating
    • 550MHz bandwidth
    • 1000 foot roll

    Great Stuff!!!
It works well and is cheap. I wouldn't install anything less than Cat6 shielded since installation is always the most expensive portion of a project. Very happy with it.

PROS: It is Cat6! It is shielded to protect it from random frequency interference. It is cheap!

CONS: It is about twice as thick as a standard cat5 UTP, but this is a good thing since it has insulation to give you better bandwidth.

    Shipping Costs to Canada
    5/5

PROS: I couldn't find any other way to reach you. We buy from Monoprice because of price and product quality. The price difference between Monoprice and local vendors is often erased by high shipping costs. Please give us a cheap option to get stuff to Toronto Canada even if its slow.

PROS: Worked well for the application. Used it to transmit HDMI signal.

CONS: Stiff cable. Little hard to pull out of box. Standard Cat5 fittings are difficult to put on this cable and Monoprice but can be doen. Monoprice does not offer a fitting that works for this cable.

Good quality, but a bit tricky to terminate.
Great performance, low cost. Pretty tricky when used with non-shielded ends. This cable is not solid wires, but each is a twisted finer wires. Shielded cat6 ends worked fine, wires were a little floppy. I would buy it again.

PROS: Great price for in-wall, Stranded, Shielded CAT6!

CONS: Pretty fat. Difficult to crimp. I had to special order ends and couldn't use the ones I had in hand. Beginners may want solid wires.

Overall, the product is not great. I made it work for the project I had but it cost more money in the long run.

    PROS: Product came as advertised.

CONS: Heavy duty jacketing. Makes it impossible to get into an 8P8C end. Cable would snag on box when pulling it out making installation a pain because you have to run back to the box to clear the hang up.

    Insulation too large
We bought a box of this cable along with the Stranded STP cat6 ends sold by monoprice. First, the ends are junk because they dont include an insert, and second the insulation on the individual conductors is far to large on this cable and will not fit into the connectors. We also went out to the local electronics store and bought other ends with the same problem.
We are returning the cable and the ends to monoprice.

PROS: Looks like nice heavy duty cable from the outside

CONS: The individual strand insulation is not a standard cat6 size. It is too large to fit into any of the cat6 ends we tried to terminate on to it.
