- 1000 foot roll
Monoprice Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.
It's ethernet cable, so as long as they had decent quality control in the manufacturing process, it'll work great. This cable pulls out of the box very easily and makes runs simple. I networked most of the house with one 1000 foot box, so I don't need any right now, but if and when I need more cable, this is where I will be buying it.
PROS: This cable is sturdy, at least $40-50 cheaper than the nearest competition, and I was able the color I wanted.
CONS: The plastic divider in the center of the cable can make the cable a bit difficult to maneuver when making connections.
PROS: Solid copper (as opposed to copper clad aluminum). Competitive price, easy to pull from the box, easy to fish down a wall.
PROS: Great Cable
CONS: The pull boxes sometimes do not work. The cable gets tangled inside and you have to open box and straighten it out.
PROS: Great quality Cat6 Cable at a price much lower than competitors. Quick and reasonable shipping.
CONS: We ordered red, but the color appears to be more orange.
PROS: Great cable to work with. Always provides reliable connectivity even with complex cable routing situations.
CONS: Cables tend to twist over distance which makes running multiple bundles of cable together a challenge. Would like to see a spool version of the 1K feet wiring which would eliminate the twisting.
PROS: I couldn't find a better price on the web. The quality is as good or better than most of the big name brands. After comparing this cable from Monoprice with other brands I saw on a jobsite, it was hands-down I had good stuff at a price my customers love.
PROS: Cheaper than anywhere else
CONS: Not cheaper?
