    Quality CAT6 Cable

Pros: The cable was stiff and well-insulated, but I actually found that to be a big plus. I needed to run my cables through the attic which has a lot of rough wooden bits and some nails sticking out in places, so the extra thickness and stiffness helped to ensure the cable was in a good position and wasn't damaged when I had to pull it through the walls to the attic and vice versa.

Cons: There's an X-shaped plastic divider that helps separate the four pairs of wires. It's great for adding support and interior insulation but it can make working with the wires a bit difficult since they don't shift around as easily.

This was my first time working with a CAT6 cable as well as any cable rated above the most basic rating (CMR, in this case). It was great to work with and provides high quality signal strength. I would definitely buy this again if I needed more CAT6 cables.

Note: I was using a wire tester to ensure that I had made the appropriate connections to the jacks/patch panel but the 7 and 8 pins were lighting up together on the receiving end when the emitter would try to put a signal out on those pins. I eventually realized that the test cable I was using to connect the receiver to the jacks was a CAT5e cable. I made a short bit of CAT6 cable with a plug on each end just for testing purposes and then I saw the 7 and 8 pins started lighting up correctly like the others. If anyone else experiences an oddity with an of the pairs not lighting up correctly, first thing I would say to check is that you aren't using two different kinds of cables (like CAT5e + CAT6). The whole thing, end to end, needs to be the same cable type.

    Excellent Cable

Pros: Easy pull. Firm jacket. Solid copper. Easy to read footage marks.

    Cons: None.

One of the best bulk cables I've used on installs. It isn't too thick nor is it too thin. Solid copper! Easy pull box that eliminates kinks and binds. The yellow is a fantastic break from the typical blue and grey. Will be ordering more.

    Pros: Sturdy
    Works fine
Brown wires easy to distinguish from orange wires
Length indicators easy to find and read

    Cons: Not purple

I've made a couple of cross-connects to keystones and a couple of patch cables so far, and this cable is definitely stiffer than what I'm used to, but completely workable. The one odd thing is the color. The outside isn't really purple at all, more of a royal blue. Very slightly purplish. On the plus side, the wires that are supposed to be brown are extremely dark, almost black, which is actually an advantage, since they're easy to distinguish from the orange. The box uncoils from the side, rather than from the top I haven't tried pulling cable from the box with the hole facing upward, but the instructions have dire tangle warnings against trying it. So far it's tangle-free when oriented correctly.

    Great cable

    Pros: Cheap
    Easy to work with

Cons: Not 550mhz cat6 but I dont know what 50mhz in cat6 is going to matter anyways.

I got this on sale and it was the cheapest cat6 cable I could find. I found its been very easy to pull from the box and its been very easy to work with. Ive been using this to run ethernet through my house and its working great. The sheathing is nice and thick so it doesnt tear while pulling through the walls and ceilings.

This is the only Ethernet cable I will use now

Pros: Fair Price (not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for)
    Does not kink easily
length marks make it easy to see how much you have left in the box

I love this cable and it is by far my favorite CAT6 cable that I have used! I did not do most of the pulling of the wires, but I did all the terminations and it works great for jacks or ends and is pure copper (which is the only thing you want). I used it for work and home, because I like it so much.
