    3FT 24AWG Cat6 500MHz Crossover Bare Copper Ethernet Network Cable - Orange

An Ethernet Crossover cable is used to connect two PCs directly together, without using a hub or switch in between. Each cable is made of 24AWG stranded pure copper conductor pairs with 50µm gold plated contacts (short body). Most budget cables skimp with only 10µm. Each cable features color matched, snagless, strain relief boots.

Monoprice Cat5e and Cat6 cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat5e and Cat6 communications cables.

    Great Purchase!
I bought this cable so I could link two computers together in a LAN network so I could have a 1v1 starcraft battle with my friend. It worked great! This is a high quality product for a low price.

Works like a charm and future-proof. I wouldnt buy anymore cat5e since cat6 is so cheap.

    Perfect
The shipment was better than ever and the quality of the cables i ordered was above what i had expected for the price. This cable is the same quality if not way better than what you would buy in the stores. BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!!!

    X-over-X
First time I've actually had a need for a crossover cable. Was looking to reinforce a connection between two enterprise grade switches in lieu of running another direct fiber link and paying an arm and a leg for labor costs. As expected, Monoprice yet again delivers on a quality cable.

PROS: Bright orange casing makes it totally obvious that it's not a regular patch cable :)

    CONS: None.

    It does, indeed, cross over
Its a cable, it carries signals from one end to the other. It works and hasn't fallen apart yet. I don't know what else you can really say for a cable...

PROS: It works. And its orange.

CONS: Refuses walk the dog or help with the dishes.

    Cables
Can't beat the price. Always my first place to go. The national retail chains are total rip offs.

    Great Quality
Same great Monoprice quality. Great cable, plug and play. The only con I would mention would be the lack of an option to not have the strain relief - as this makes it a little harder to use with a patch panel.

I've installed hundreds of these Cat6 cables this year and they always work perfectly. I haven't had one fail yet. They are some of the best and easiest to use patch cables on the market. I actually prefer these to some of the ones that are several times more expensive.

Works fine - Cable a bit hard.
Functionally good. I find the cable a bit hard to twist. Also, if you are using it for embedded development, please do yourself a favor and buy a longer cable. :)
