These precision-engineered cables are fully compliant with the DVI standard defined by DDWG (Digital Display Working Group). The DVI-I dual link configuration in digital mode provides enough bandwidth for resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 and allows high speed digital transmission up to 9.9 Gbps.

    Used for CCTV

Pros: DVI-I, compatible with DVI-A or DVI-D, especially useful for CCTV applications since they tend to be DVI-I connectors
    Excellent cable protection

Cons: 28AWG provide strength in lieu of flexibility

Since there was no DVI-I cable extension per se, I used it to extend a short cable stack for analog CCTV cameras into a PCI-E capture card in conjunction with a dual link DVI-I coupler, because it ran short and was always pulling on it when the server is serviced. This cable provides the strength and flexibility I needed

    Don't buy...doesn't fit

This cable will not fit into a typical DVI computer slot or monitor. I tried it with two monitors and two different DVI cards. Neither end fits into the slots. It appears to be a QC issue where the horizontal pin is too wide. I ended up buying a cable that would work at a big box store. I certainly paid more but the cable worked. I have had this issue with other Monoprice items. Some of their products are really good...some poorly engineered junk. This cable falls into the junk category.

    Hello AJD,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for the issues you have experienced with PID 614..Could you please confirm what type of DVI you have on the video card as well as the monitor?

There are two variables in every DVI connector, and each represents one characteristic.
The flat pin on one side denotes whether the cable is digital or analog:

A flat pin with four surrounding pins is either DVI-I or DVI-A
A flat pin alone denotes DVI-D
The pinsets vary depending on whether the cable is single-link, dual-link, or analog:
Two separated 9-pin sets (rows of 6) for a single-link cable
    A solid 24-pin set (rows of 8) for a dual-link cable
    A separated 8-pin and 4-pin set is for DVI-A.

    cant secure the screws

    Pros: Looks nice and thick

    Cons: Horrible screws

The cable looks fine. But how I tried up-side-down right-side-up the screws for securing the connector just wont screw in. So I am left with a loose dangling cable that is up to no good. I want a refund!
