ZEROboot Series Cat5e 24AWG UTP Ethernet Network Patch Cable, 1ft Green

Save the time and hassle of building Ethernet cables by using fixed-length UTP Cat5e Ethernet Network Cables from Monoprice!

The ZEROboot series of Ethernet cables are designed for IT and data center professionals who prefer interconnect cables without the covers that protect the plug retaining clips, allowing for faster and easier cable connections.

    Features:

    • Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Category 5e Ethernet cable
    • 24AWG stranded, pure bare copper conductors
    • 350MHz bandwidth
    • No protective plug retaining clip covers
    • 1-foot length (tip to tip)

Monoprice Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.

    Great for Patch Panels
These patch cables work and look great!

PROS: - ZeroBoot means they are easy to unplug when you need to and helps to keep your rack looking clean.
    - Wide variety of colors help to identify different types of connections.

CONS: - Packaging can be a bit frustrating, especially when you're dealing with large numbers of cables. 10 cables come individually packaged in plastic bags and then those 10 bags are in a single bag.

    Love ZEROboot cables
Connecting Ethernet patch cables is much faster and easier when there is NO boot. Covers protecting booted cables slows down attaching and detaching cables to patch panels and switches. Most booted cables also have a built-in strain relieve which reduces length on short cables such as 6 and 12 inch units.

PROS: Faster to attach and detach

    Easier to use

Functionally longer at short lengths due to no strain relief.

Consumes less space on tight patch panels and switches

CONS: Not good for applications where the cable will be pulled near other cables and clip could be snagged
