Peter has FIOS that he uses for watching TV, but when he has to reset the TV a lot. Leo says that he has the same problem. It’s as if the TV isn’t sensing the signal coming from the box and adjusting the resolution from program to program. Leo recommends going through the settings of all boxes and make sure they’re the same. Additionally, he recommends getting a current HDMI cable with HDMI 1.3 or above spec. You can get them from Monoprice.com for under $10. The chatroom also says to hook up the box directly to the TV, bypassing everything else, and see if it fixes it. If it does, then it’s a handshake issue. Updating firmware can also help.
