Not the best, but saves money

Pros: It fits in my printer and saves me 64% over HP ink.

Cons: Does not communicate with the printer as it should. Can't report ink levels. Each time I print I have to open and close the ink door to wake up the printer so it will start working.

What else can I say? I do save 64% over HP ink. The cost is putting up with the printers not working as designed. The end result is OK. But each time we print you have to go to the printer to open and close the door where the ink goes to get the printer to start working. So if we are down stairs in our home on a laptop and try to print whatever, someone has to go upstairs where the printer is located to open and close the ink door. So the money you save cost in other areas. This is a pain when you spend $400 on a nice printer that will not work as intended. But if you’re trying to save money this is what you have to put up with.

Pros: Price

Cons: The tabs have been ground off on the top edge of the cartridge so my HP OfficeJet 8500 Pro indicates the cartridge is damaged and will not work.

I do not recommend using this cartridge in a HP OfficeJet 8500 Pro. I think an attempt has been made to turn these cartridges into one that can be refilled with any color by grinding the tabs off the top edge. Those tabs are unique for each color and shouldn't be removed.

DO NOT BUY THESE!

Pros: They fit in the slots, but that's where it ends.

Cons: My HP printer would not work with these re-manufactured refills, or at least half of them. I had to throw them away. Total junk!

Total Junk

Pros: NONE

Cons: Don't work total waste of time and money

Purchased all 4 replacement ink cartridges for my HP 8500 Plus items 8914, 8915, 8916, 8917. and replaced them. Now the printer prints super light streaks of yellow on everything, a pink transparancy on everything and all other color is off... the only thing that look correct is solid black. When I put the original HP cartridges back in (even though they are used) the printer prints perfect.

Thank you for your review. And I am truly sorry to hear of your experience you have had with this product.

For now, if possible, please try a couple of troubleshooting techniques with me to see if we can resolve your issue.

Have you tried shaking the cartridge?

What about trying another printer?

Have you tried making sure the contacts are clean?

Did you try calibrating the printer?

Please let me know if the problems still occur. If it does, I can assist you in obtaining a replacement or a return RMA to see if a replacement will work better. We do have a lifetime warranty on non-electronics and cables as well as a 1 year warranty for electronics. And obtaining a replacement is of no additional cost. If you want to continue with an RMA just please provide the order# and if you wanted to return it or obtain a replacement. Thank you!
