Enjoy the easy switching life with the Monoprice 3x1 Enhanced HDMI® Switch!
This switch allows you to connect three HDMI® inputs and direct them to a single HDMI output. It fully conforms to the the HDCP and includes support for all 3D formats.
Two of the inputs are in the traditional location on the back, while the third is on the front panel. This allows you to easily make temporary connections, such as from a phone or tablet, without having to reach behind and locate the plug by feel.
The switch includes a remote control, with an on/off button, three direct access buttons, and a pair of directional buttons to cycle between available inputs. Whenever a device is turned off, the unit automatically switches to the next device in the chain, the same as if you had pressed the "next" button on the remote or pressed the "Touch switch" on the front panel.
The switch also incorporates an amplifier, which automatically regenerates the HDMI signal to full strength, allowing you to use longer-than-normal HDMI cables from the input devices. An external 5VDC power supply is required and supplied with the unit.
Note: Monoprice strongly recommends the use of minimum 24 AWG HDMI cables when connecting a device, such as this switch, between the source and destination devices to ensure minimal signal loss and maximum High Speed signal reliability.

Try rerouting cable paths and distancing devices from sources of interference, such as moving routers and other networking cables away from the switch setup. |

| | Great HDMI switch (with bright status lights) |  Pros: Easy to plug several HDMI inputs into the switch, no more fussing with changing cables behind the TV. Easy to change from using one input to another.
Cons: Bright status lights really do need something to cover them up.
Works as advertised, easy to set up. The status lights on the front are really bright, as noted by others. A few layers of opaque tape toned them down.

| Pros: Great unit. Small but very functional easy to hide. Just plug and play, so to speak.
Cons: Not a major issue but the bright blue lights, when in use, can be a bit distracting, at first. My solution was to put a small statue/knickknack in front of it, positioned so the remote still sees the unit. Perfect fix it blocks the lights and they aren't noticeable.
I'm glad I found this, as it solved my problem of multiple HDMI units. I would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: If I had to list something... There is about a 5 second delay when switching between channels. In our application, that is not a concern, but it may be for someone.
Easy setup. Worked perfectly, out of the box. Good value as compared to other manufacturer's.

| Pros: - Works like expected.
- Well built (does not feel cheap at all).
- Fair price.
Cons: - VERY bright LEDs in front, lights up the entire room with a blue glow.
- 1 front HDMI port.
The only bad thing about this product is its front:
Its ridiculously bright LEDs makes you want to hide them behind a tape, which makes them less useful. Also, the front HDMI port makes it difficult to plug something in without making it look like it doesn't fit. These 2 points make it seem like they want us to really love the device, but hide it behind anything.
Other than that, the product is perfect for the needs.
Would still recommend it!
