    Learn more about Monoprice Business

Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone

DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.

The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.

The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!

The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.

The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.

High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

    Pros: Good sound
    Two audio cables
    Great price

Cons: Nothing to say in my case

These headphones offered the type of quality I was searching for in this price range. I personally find them comfortable as well. I also really like that it comes with two different audio cables. This made the headphones more flexible to use, as I could use the shorter cable on while out, and the longer cable when I need the extra length. Definitely headphones to consider buying!

    Pros: excellent audio quality
    low price
    detachable and replaceable cord
    replaceable ear pads

    Cons: can get uncomfortable

These are one of the best sounding, low priced headphones in the market. Audio is crisp - mids, highs, and lows are all well balanced. You really can't go wrong with these. However, they do get uncomfortable to wear after a while. I ended up buying the softer polyurethane pads and it has dramatically improved comfort. Another thing I like about the headphones is that they are fitted with conventional 3.5mm connections which means that when the cable goes bad, you can simply and easily replace it since the cable is not proprietary like on some headphones from other manufacturers. Also, I really like the fact that I can fold up the headphone so that the cans are tucked away up towards the headband to make it easier to store in a backpack or bag when traveling.

    Great value

Pros: Definitely price. Fit and finish are solid. Has a more natural smooth sound.

Cons: Lack of treble( but this could just be my old ears)

For the money these headphones are a great value. Although ever so slightly lacking in treble they more than make up for it in bass response. My only criticism is the fit. They were a tad large on my head which made them uncomfortable. I did in fact return these for the Hi-Fi Light Weight which fit much better and have a more natural sound still slightly lacking in the hi end. The Monoprice headphones represent an excellent value. I rarely use headphones these were a replacement of an older pair. If you are looking for true hi end in headphones then these are not the headphones for you but please, please consider the price. If you are looking for value in a product for occasional use then look no further. My primary use for this product is computer listening while working and the television.

    Good Sound, cheap plastic

    Pros: Good price
    good sound

    Cons: Cheap plastic

The sound is really good for the price. The only downside is the plastic feels cheap. It is not weak but has a lot of play in the movement. Overall it is a great pair of headphones for the price.

    Good Cans

    Pros: Clean / Clear Audio
Removable Cable (for those with you kids, this is the biggest pro)
    Comfortable (to a degree).

    Cons: Too small at times.

Excellent Sound. I bought a few for my kids and I. I use them for a communications headset (bought a clip mic separate). My kid uses them for Music and Gaming and have had no complaints either.

Note on the size and comfort. When first putting them on they're fine, but if they had a model that had bigger ear cups, they would be a better driver for longer uses.
