0.8mm VHDC M Active w/led Ext
68-pin Very High Density Cable Interconnect (VHDCI) connector active terminator with LED indicator light.
Terminators reduce interference on a system by preventing RF signals at the end of an open line from being reflected back. They are placed at the end of a daisy chain line to match impedance and minimize reflection. An active terminator is a one with a voltage regulator to compensate for variations in power.

These terminators are pretty good. They work, so that's good. Small though, much smaller than I thought they would be. That's good as they fit in small spaces, but on the other hand are slightly harder to install. One of them had a screw twist off, so be sure you don't over-tighten them. They're obviously not as nice as an HP or IBM OEM part, but are 1/2 to 1/3 the price! I've got two installed on some HP StorageWorks equipment, and so far so good.
