It works!

Pros: It works.

Cons: Nothing

I've tried three other HDMI repeaters, all of them the cheap ones I'm sure we've all tried if you're looking at this review. Those were garbage. This isn't. That's really all you need to know.

Still Haven't Used Them

Pros: Unknown yet

Cons: Does not come with a power supply.

Not sure how they can sell an item that has a power supply jack with no power supply. I would've paid the extra money for the power supply but had to order them separately. I'm still waiting to receive them. So I have no idea how these things (I bought three) work. Yet I was sent an email asking to write a review. Well, here it is.

Not worth the money!

Pros: None

Cons: Did not work at all. HDMI length was 50', well below stated maximum and the signal still did not get passed through.

My PlayStation 3 was unable to communicate to my TV with this device through 50' of HDMI cable (wall rated). I tried every mode and no signal got through. This was both with and without the use of an external 5v power supply. I also tried putting the device at either ends of the cable length (near the PS3 and the TV)

Misleading Title in my opinion

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Not really "Active" - no 5 volt power supply.

When you put "Active" in a title, to means it comes with it's own power supply. Trying to draw power off an HDMI's 5 volt line is asking for trouble!! HDMI is already so buggy, why not add a few bucks to the purchase price and provide a 5 volt adapter??
Furthermore, this "optional" accessory isn't even available on Monoprice according to customer service. If youre going to to have an optional item, at least stock it so it can be ordered.

Solved!

Pros: Inexpensive, self-powered, small, and it works.

Cons: None.

Fixed my system's problem immediately. ~30 ft cable run between Oppo BDP 93 driving Marantz SR7005 and Sim2 C3X1080 projector. Colorful confetti all over the screen. Plugged in the 107700 (without power supply), adjusted to position 3, and SOLVED!
