Great for Pi

Pros: Low cost. Sharp image. Works with Pi CS board

Cons: Color accuracy, Advertised speed not accurate.

If you have a Raspberry Pi camera board with a CS mount, this lens works very well. There is a slight green shadow in the center of the frame that is mostly visible when you drive up the saturation and or contrast, but generally it's ok if you don't. Image is crisp to the edges even at full aperture. Focusing to a very sharp image takes a little practice. I seriously doubt this lens is a f1.2, even at wide setting (3mm), probably closer to f1.8. I have a 2.8mm f1.2 Tameron 1/3" prime that out performs this lens in low light by quite a bit. I have bought 6 of these lenses and a few have a little slop in the focus, but nothing to get excited about, especially at the price (hated to see that take a jump)

Pros: Not a bad lens, especially for the price. Cheapest varifocal IR lens I've seen. Nice construction with solid metal construction.

Cons: Not a great lens.

Works well in most situations. I think Monoprice is great at finding products that have good quality at winning prices. I haven't been disappointed with any product that I've bought from them. This lens is no exception!

Decent image/questionable color

Pros: Sharp detail and ability to focus and display more wide angle video.
Price.

Cons: Color definitely not as accurate as the original lens.

I bought these to swap out the lenses on Trendnet TV-IP512P cameras to get a wider field of view. As far as field of view and focusing capability go, these lenses fit the bill. The stock Trendnet lenses captured the color far more accurately than these.

Pros: Great deal on a very nimble device. Wish they were from Japan or Korea, but they get the job done, and that's what counts.

If you know what you're looking for, you already know this is a great deal on a dc iris. Works great.
