| | Pretty cool. | Pros: -Bright UV lights -Possible to dim very low
Cons: -No Neutrik Power-in/Power-out female connections, like the Monoprice Par lights have.
I have this linked up running with MIDI control and the super bright LED pars that Monoprice also sells. So far I am very happy with the performance. It does have a loud fan, but that won't matter for the live stage application I'll be using it for. I wish it offered the power daisy chaining ability like the Par lights have, but I can make this work still.

| Pros: NONE
Cons: They dont last at all.
I bought two of these UV Bars. I plugged them in and they both worked for about a couple days. Then all of a sudden they dont turn on anymore. These are the worst UV bars in history and I want to return them and get a refund.
by Monoprice Administrator Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the power issues experienced with PID 612610. If I may ask, have you tested these light bars with different outlets? Do you happen to have any other power cables that we can try out to see if any difference is made? Also, does there appear to be any physical damage to either the cables, the light bars, or the packaging? Please let me know as I will be forwarding this information to our product team for further investigation. If you would like, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for replacements as we cover these units with a one year warranty. Or, if you would still prefer to proceed with the refund, please let me know and I will get that going right away. My apologies again for any inconvenience and thank you in advance.

by Jonathan Liu I have tested the lights with different outlets and power cords. No there was no damage anywhere. They worked when I first got them and now one of them doesnt even power on. The other one, the display and fan come on, but the actual UV LEDs dont come on at all. I have no need for replacements. If you can a full refund would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
by Jonathan Liu Thank you Gabby. Customer service is top notch!

| | Well worth it! | Pros: Great price for the features. Designed for Halloween/night clubs/parties/theatrical productions.
Cons: Cooling fan is loud.
I use this for several things: Halloween, blacklight/neon body painting photo shoots, and for DJ use at parties. MUCH cheaper to run LED blacklights than traditional florescent blacklights (cost of bulbs AND cost of electricity). Florescent blacklights will run your power bill up (I know from running a clown house @ Haunted house).

| | Decent UV light, but needs DMX controller | Pros: Price, Light output, UV spectrum, not a delicate UV bulb, super lightweight, low power requirements.
Cons: No manual controls to operate, somewhat flimsy, built in cooling fan is a bit loud based on intensity of the light. Requires a DMX control just to turn it on (demo mode is default).
Ok we bought this to replace a set of 4 foot tube UV lights we hang in our entry for Halloween every year. The UV tubes are always very delicate and the tubes are both expensive and hard to find. So these new LED based units do produce light in the right frequency to make UV reflective stuff glow (Like clothing). The problem is that these are meant for the theater professional in that you cant just plug them in. The will automatically go into a test mode fading in and out. You must find a DMX controller and wire them up to set them up. So if you have no idea about DMX I would say steer clear. If you are fine with setting up a basic DMX control, these are really nice for the money.
The output as you could guess is a bit directional (It is LED), with maybe a 40 degree beam spread with high intensity which drops off after, so if you are replacing a UV tube you may want to consider two of these units and aim from each side (as we did).
