| | Buyer Beware- Failed after 2 hours of use | Pros: Worked great for the first two hours
Cons: Complete garbage, failed after two hours of usage, and even worse
What a bummer. Monoprice is great for cables, but they fall far short on more sophisticated products. I usually plug my bass into my PS4 to use with Rocksmith, but bought this amp just over a year ago for occasional practice. Total usage is 2 maybe 3 hours, but when I went to turn it on recently it was dead. After confirming that the bass and cable are fine (using a friend's amp). Total cost per hour of use:~$25!!!!! Buyer beware, I will look elsewhere for similar purchases in the future, and suggest you do as well

| | Great little practice amp for a low price. | Pros: Small. Cheap. Great Starter Amp. Portable. Sounds pretty good.
Cons: Amp gets overdriven easily.
I really like this amp primarily because it was 20Watts and cheaper than Fender's 15W Rumble Amp. And I really like Monoprice. They do a lot of great stuff. The only downside is that since its so small and cheap it gets overdriven fairly easily. Especially since I have a BC Rich bass with Active pickups. Active pickups are very high output so the signal is pretty powerful coming out overdriving the amp. So if it's loud, the sound is distorted, not smooth and clean. I have to turn my bass master volume control down so the sound is smooth and clean.
Also, I just have to say that Monoprice customer service is fantastic. They responded quickly and are eager to fix any issues. I was having some problems with the amp cutting out and they did their best to help me out and were up for replacing it until I figured out it was my bass problem. (crummy battery driving the active pups.) DOI!!!!

| | Good and bad | Pros: Portability this is small and light.
2 inputs with separate volume control.
Sound is ok for practice.
Cons: Sound is so so, but for this price and portability it's ok.
I have a lot of basses and amps. I really like how portable and small this is. The sound is pretty thin but I really didn't expect much in this price and size range.

| | Great beginners practice amp. | Pros: Inexpensive, dual inputs and volume controls, thick felt covering, weight is nice but not too light.
Cons: The headphone jack is 1/4", I wish they had put in a 1/8" jack so we didn't have to purchase an adapter.
We bought this for our daughters for Christmas. One has been playing bass electric guitar, the other is going to start lessons in a month on a regular electric guitar. They can share this amp, and if they ever decide to play a duet, the dual input / dual volume will be great. Or if their instructor wants to play along with them they can plug in for practice or for a jam session.
