10-Inch Powered Studio Subwoofer
Accurately mix and master your bass-heavy music using this 10-inch Powered Studio Reference Subwoofer from Monoprice!
This studio-quality subwoofer designed to be integrated with your studio monitors, for use with recording, mixing, and mastering duties. It features a built-in 200-watt (RMS) class AB amplifier. Designed for professional use, it features two balanced XLR, two balanced TRS, and two unbalanced TS audio inputs and outputs.
It boasts a 20 ~ 150 Hz frequency response with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 90dB (A-weighted) and less than 0.03% total harmonic distortion at its rated power. It uses a 10" fiberglass composite cone and produces 110dB peak sound pressure level at 1m.
It features a 1/4" TS input for use with a foot switch (not included). The foot switch allows you to bypass the subwoofer and its crossover, allowing the original, full-range signal to be sent to the outputs. This allows you to compare your mixes with and without the subwoofer handling the lower frequencies.

| | I recommend it | Pros: powerful and everything else. reasonable price. Auto on/off is convenient, also footswitch is good.
Cons: Almost nothing except for the tiny popping sound. And a little bit of distortion if you haven't broken it in but yea like i said i only had it for 5 days and it's disappearing slowly. Plus, you won't hear that distortion since you're not going to be right next to the bass port of it which is facing away from you.
heavy lol call me a weak sauce all you want but it's a hassle to even reposition it 2 inches away from the original spot under the table.
I can only speak from experience. some have wrote that they experience the pop sound when turning on or turning off. Even when I use the auto button, it'll pop auto on. Anyways I use it at volume -30db so i don't expect the drivers to be damaged in anyway, however i only had it for 5 days so i don't know BUT... i'm extremely satisfied with this product. I use it with my JBL 305 input sensitivity -10 and 4th notch at the volume. (Don't know if that's the most accurate caliberation so if anyone knows please let me know.) The sub itself is just way too powerful so i can't even turn the volume up a bit without bothering my neighbor.
buying this sub would be a wise decision if you're an audiophile as well as an producer/engineer ( like i am) whether u do it professionally or not. I mean this is just a sub and how clear can a bass get below 80hz anyways? you wanna spend $500 on a quality sub..?. not a good choice i'll tell ya. you think you're ok with just a 5 inch or 8 inch without a sub... that's also not a wise decision to make. you'd be biased to think that just cuz u don't have one yet.
trust me on this, like i said i only had this for 5 days so i don't know how long it may last me but so far i know for sure it's been a perfect match to my JBL 305's. hopefully it'll last longer than the warranty period.

| | Great sub, using with JBL LSR305s | Pros: Great sound Solid build Inexpensive Studio quality Works great with JBL 305s
Cons: None apparent.
I recently bought a pair of JBL LSR305s and find them to be fabulous speakers. However, good as they are the woofers are only 5” and the bass can be improved.
The obvious choice is the JBL LSR310S, which has a 10” woofer and a 200 watt class D amplifier. But $400 seems like a lot to spend for a sub when the 305s are about $260 for a pair. So I started researching other options, of which there are plenty.
One little-reviewed sub caught my eye, the Monoprice 605999. Its specs are similar to the 310S, and costs $176 (about $150 on sale).
When I read the Monoprice description, I thought that perhaps Monoprice is positioning this as a low-budget alternative to the 310S. I decided to try it, feeling that I always could send it back.
So far I am very happy with this sub. It came well-packed, looks and feels really solid, and was very easy to set up.
Since I’m far from an audiophile, I asked a friend who is a musician and a recording engineer to listen to it to provide a good review for you. He describes himself as “hard to please” in audio. He’s owned and used a number of subs in his studio and as a musician, and uses the Focal CMS65s in his studio (I mention this to help you to evaluate his responses, which are below).
His comments as we listened to The Dark Side of the Moon in a very large room (25’x25’ with a 15’ ceiling), source was high-quality Spotify (320kbps AAC) through a Chromecast Audio, using two LSR305s and the Monoprice sub:
“This is astounding. For the money it’s extraordinary, it’s a great sub for the price. I’d have guessed it would cost $500 or more. It’s tight, articulate and clean. It’s musical and sounds really good. I’m going to get one to use with my Focals.”
I think it's a keeper.

| | A++ | Pros: Cost, Build Quality, Sound Quality, Volume.
Cons: None that I have found.
I have been waiting to get this sub for over a year. I read the reviews and thought for such a low price I would take a gamble and pick one up. I am sure glad I did. I have compared this to my friend's Mackie Studio Sub and I find it sounds just as good. Also the ins and outs on this sub are better in that it has XLR for both In and Out. Sound quality was better than I expected. Build quality again better than expected for this price. I ordered on a friday afternoon and it arrived the next morning, a Saturday. I produce booty bass and breakbeats and this sub can handle everything I send to it. Its loud enough to rattle my house when turned up. And its not punchy but nice warm full bass.

| | Great sounding sub | Pros: Pro connections on back.
Great sound.
Plenty of watts.
Relatively compact size.
Cons: none
In my recording studio, my old subwoofer needed replacing. Good low end is critical in order to get recordings to sound great. I found this on the website and noticed the professional connections on the back. It came quickly as described. Sounds great, and a great price! I highly recommend.

| | I'm Impresssed | Pros: Great Price, lot's of connections
Cons: None for this price
I do have a small home recording studio that I can put this in. However, my old JBL 12" sub went that I've had for about 20+ years went on me that I was using for my home theatre, so I was looking to replace that. So I figured, well, I should be able to use this somewhere! Let me tell you, I hooked it up to my home theatre, since the trs input will also accept an unbalanced input that a normal receiver puts out, and I'll be darned, it sounds pretty good! Now let me be fair and honest, don't expect it to sound like a $400 sub. It's not a $400 sub! It does not sound as good as the one it's replacing, BUT, for a third of the cost you are not going to beat this. So I gave it 10 stars since it's easily worth double the price, EASILY! I may just buy another one for the studio too! Heck, I may even buy a third for my upstairs home theatre set-up! I mean, I can buy 3 for less than 1 top of the line woofer and it will sound 90% as good. Unless you are an audiophile, you will not notice the difference, I'm tellin ya!
