130-Watt 8-channel PA System with Two 10-inch speakers
Amplify your next event or performance with this 130-watt 8-channel PA System from Monoprice!
This all-in-one system features two speakers, each with one 10" woofer and one 1" compression driver, and an 8-channel mixer with a built-in amplifier. The amplifier features a 20 Hz ~ 20 kHz frequency response range, with less than 1% THD. The amp puts out 65-watts per channel RMS, with 130-watts per channel peak power.
The mixer has four mono channels, each of which has one balanced XLR microphone input and one unbalanced 1/4" line input. Channels 5 and 6 are ganged together into a single stereo pair with a pair of unbalanced 1/4" and RCA inputs, while channels 7 and 8 use a single 3.5mm stereo TRS input. Phantom power is available for the XLR microphone inputs.
On the output side it has 1/4" and RCA unbalanced stereo pairs for the monitor, a 3.5mm TRS headphone jack, and two 1/4" unbalanced speaker outputs. The four mono channel inputs and the master volume control feature clipping indicators to let you know when the inputs or output are going into distortion.
The system is designed for portability and mobility, accepting input voltages in the 95 ~ 250 VAC, 50/60 Hz range. The speakers feature a standard 1-3/8" PA mounting hole, allowing them to be mounted on standard PA speaker stands, such as PID 602350. The mixer's cover features a large storage compartment for cables. The system comes with a power cable and two, 20-foot 1/4" TS speaker cables.

| | Cheap... But good for the money | Overall, the system was exactly what I needed. A small compact design that provided adequate power and punch. The knobs are flimsy, and the latches are poorly designed( see other reviews), but inputs and outputs were perfect for my needs. A cou

| | Incredibly good for the price. | Pros: All-in-one simple PA solution Price to Performance ratio off the charts Plays LOUD Lightweight/portable
Cons: Sound quality not ideal for certain sources No EQ on stereo inputs No mic included
I had been toying with getting a small PA system to use for private parties/events, but had a hard time justifying the cost. When I saw this system from Monoprice, the reviews were overall quite good, so I figured it was worth the price/risk to find out for myself. I have to say I am really impressed with the performance for the price, especially for my intended use. This system is LOUD, and the speakers are solidly built. There is no EQ on the system for the stereo input sources, but I use an iPod, and the EQ settings on there make a big difference in the quality of sound output. The treble can still be a bit harsh at times, and the the 10" woofers do not like heavy bass/mid-bass, like on some EDM/rap mixes.. I don't know if its the crossovers or just that there's not enough voice coil/excursion in the woofer. The more compressed a source is, the worse it will sound when amplified, too. Still, there are systems that cost way more that have the same, or worse issues, and, as I said, adjusting the EQ on my source cures, or at least ameliorates, many of these issues based on the source. I have since upgraded the speaker cables and added a dynamic mic from Monoprice, and I am very happy with the system, especially for the money. I may add a small subwoofer later, but I may not. For my purposes of playing music at private parties/events, there's nothing that comes close. Gemini does offer what appears to be a similar product, but with Bluetooth, again at a much higher price. Overall, I am very pleased.

| | Happy Wife | Pros: clean sound, price, easy to transport
Cons: won't fill a 30,000 seat arena with sound. In others word know your needs and don't expect this to be something it's not.
I got this so my wife can have soemthing to practice her singing and hear it through a mic and amp. SHe absolutely loves it. I purchased it with the Dynamic Mic and 15 foot premier series cable, which the mic and cable have gold plated connectors. The sound is crystal clear. Surpirsingly ther is no hiss or any other sound. We have been using it for a week now and would suggest it to anyone for a small venue or practice studio.

| | Nice Basic PA and Sounds Very Good | Pros: The pro's: Small/compact, decent sound quality, no frills system, but has what I needed.
Cons: Plastic storage compartment door catch cheaply made. Don't expect high volume levels-just loud enough for practice vocal and acoustic-okay for 25 person audience, I paid $27 shipping-had I ordered through Amazon shipping was free.
I searched for an inexpensive pa to use in my music room. For the money it can't be beat. I was looking at the Mackie Free Play ($399), but this got way better reviews.
