| | Perfect for my needs |  Pros: Works perfect for lighting the gain pots on my DL1608
The only outboard controls on a DL1608 digital mixer, are the input gains, and headphone volume pot. The channel numbers are very small, and to make matters worse, it's under my keyboard midi controller on my recording desk. This light is bright enough to see the numbers. It's not long enough for my VLVZ 1608, but I recommend it to anyone who has a similar issue to mine.

I haven't been using this XLR Phantom power light while recording through the mixer until today. Playback was completely distorted, and after checking all the settings, could'nt find the culprit. I turned off phantom power, and the distortion was gone. I hope my previous review I had submitted didn't cause others any grief. I had read another user's reviw that it used too many mA for most mixers, but had already purchased it.

| | Exactly What I Was Looking For! | Pros: Well Built, Not Flimsy, Easy To Use, Adequete Light, Uses any Standard Mic XLR Jack Equipped with Phantom Power

This is exactly what I was looking for. I have a Studiomaster Trilogy 206 mixing console that does not have a dedicated lamp socket. In the past I always had to use either a flashlight or rig a light up and mount it to my effects rack so I could see the board while running sound for live bands. This LED gooseneck unit plugs right into any unused microphone XLR jack that has phantom power, and lights up quite nicely. The fixture is very well made, and has some "heft" to it. Very nice! The light is not super bright, but it's just enough and is not distracting. One of the other reviews mentioned it is a very narrow "spot" beam, which is true if you have the lamp down close to the board. If you raise it up and aim it right, the beam spreads out much further and covers a wider area. That review also said that the light would dim as you plug in more phantom powered mics/devices - but I have not experienced that. The light has stayed consistent while I have used it. Most full sized consoles always have two lamps, so I ordered two of these since I always have at least two avaialble XLR jacks. With two of these, the entire board is lit up just as well as any other console that comes factory equipped with lamps. These are priced low enough that ordering two was a no brainer compared to other similar units out there that don't work off phantom power. Light is very useful in a dimly lite venue. It lights up my Yamaha board very nicely. Something I've been searching for the last few months.
Would recommend this product to all live sound users

| | Can't get any better | Pros: Easy to order, shipping was one day ahead of time, the product is great quality especially for the price.
Cons: Too many items at Monoprice at great prices. The wife is going to ban me from this place.
LED light came as promised (a day earlier than projected) had gotten a light from a local guitar store that said it would work and it didn't. Read he stats on Monoprice and sure enough works with my board. A good product, good price along with good research and customer service!!!! Cant beat it.

| Pros: Very solid, good ouput, perfect to be used on a lectern.
Cons: CAN'T BE USED ON A MIXER AND POWERED BY THE PHANTOM POWER.
