Foldable Guitar Stand
Protect your guitar from scratches and dings when traveling with this Foldable Guitar Stand from Monoprice!
This simple design can be collapsed in seconds, yet provides a stable base for holding any guitar or bass guitar. The stand is made of aluminum and and has 2 longer legs and 1 short leg so your guitar will rest at a sloping angle, all while a rubber strap across the neck support ensures that your guitar won't fall out of the stand.
The stand is height adjustable from about 17" ~ 25" at the neck support when in use. The base has an 18.5" span, which gives it rock solid stability, even on carpet. The neck support collapses inward with a push-pin to lock in place, the guitar base folds upwards, and the legs break in so it becomes highly portable at just 28" when fully broken down.
Note that the rubber tubing will interact with the chemicals in a nitrocellulose finish and can ruin the finish where it comes in contact with the rubber. Never allow a guitar with a nitrocellulose finish to come into contact with rubber tubing.

| | Design flaw & Poor quality-control | Pros: Inexpensive. At the very least, it does look like a guitar stand.
Cons: Poor construction, poor quality-control
There are 2 locking mechanisms on this "foldable" stand that I find are terrible.
1) the top section where the guitar neck should rest, and
2) the bottom holder where the guitar body should rest.
The 1 section is supposed to fold and latch with the spring-loaded 'bullet in the hole' mechanism, but it is so loose and misaligned that it doesn't work.
The 2 section just tilts up and down almost 180 degrees and does not stay put at the right angle to hold a guitar in fact, if you attempt to rest the guitar, it just slides away and fall out!
This is dangerous!! This stand does not give me any assurance that it will safely hold my guitar. Even if I were to get this repaired or replaced, it seems obvious to me that based on its design the stand will fail sooner than later. I question the construction and obviously-absent quality-control of this product.
To sum up: The item should be recalled!

| | wont hold guitar | Pros: none
Cons: cheap. won't hold guitars.
I thought this seemed like a decent stand until I actually used it for the first time, at a show. The bottom piece that folds up that holds the guitar actually folds down also, so as soon as you put your guitar on it, it folds down and your guitar slides right off. not happy with this at all.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello Sturm,
Thank you for your feedback on PID 602110. My apologies for the inconvenient experience you faced while using this guitar stand for the first time. The guitar base should not be folding all the way down. If I may ask, can we try tightening the joint for the base? Also, are you able to send me pictures of the base in the folded down position? Should the stand still bend downward after tightening, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement as we cover this product with a one year warranty. Please let me know results and thank you in advance!

| | Strike two, you're out. DO NOT BUY | Pros: The ideas in this stand are good. The implementation is HORRIBLE.
Cons: Cheap. Minimal spot welds. Thin material. There isn't a font big enough to emphasize that this stand is CHEAP. You have been warned.
I wrote a review on this stand a few months ago. I bought two and the first one crapped out shortly after I received it. I did not pursue a warranty exchange (my choice, my fault) because of the warranty return hassle over $9. However, it is now 2 months later. The second stand broke in the same spot. I am not hard on my equipment at all. This stand just simply sucks. If you are mobile at all (gigs, playing at a friend's house, church worship band, etc.) STAY AWAY FROM THIS STAND. If it is just going to sit in a corner, perhaps it MIGHT LAST.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello,
I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience with the foldable guitar stand. Would you be able to send a photo of the damage on the stand? We do offer a one year warranty on this item, if you would like I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement to see if that will work better for you. I will also pass this information along to our product development team as well as submit a complaint regarding the issue. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

| | Great ideas, quality control missed this one | Pros: This stand has excellent features. Foldable and fits into a modest space for travel/gigs. Price was right too.
Cons: Cheap construction.
Purchased one of these several months ago and am very happy. Decided to buy a second one. Unfortunately the rivet that holds the bottom U support broke off. I noticed that it was loose shortly after receiving it. It only lasted a few uses before it broke off completely. BTW, I am not complaining. The majority of things I have purchased from Monoprice have been great. It's not worth the $9 to me to make a warranty claim, between the cost to return it and such. Just hope that Monoprice will step up the quality control measures of their Chinese suppliers.

| | 602110 Foldable Guitar Stand | Pros: Good quality and folds down well. Only a test of time will tell us the truth about the stand.
Cons: The neck hold is too short to hold an acoustic body. The body of the guitar hits the back upright. I bought it to hold an acoustic guitar not a solid body guitar. They should have made it plain in the details. I would't have bought it if I had known this fact.
The stand seemed to do what it was made for in holding a thin bodied guitar. For me it is useless, I don't have a solid bodied or thin guitar.
by Monoprice Administrator Hi Boone,
