Did not work for what I needed

Pros: Allows connecting to VGA with DisplayPort, relatively inexpensive.

Cons: I have a bench setup where I can connect via VGA 4 PCs to a single KVM. I recently acquired some Zotac ZBOX mini barebone PCs which do not have VGA outputs, but they do have HDMI and DisplayPort. Attempting to use the adapter does not output on the bench monitor. It looks like the adapter can't handle going through the KVM. I had purchased 2 of the adapters, and neither one will display through the KVM. They do work fine going directly to a monitor, however.

WORKED GREAT

Pros: Active adapter, so should work with most anything.

Cons: A little too wide- lifts my Chromebox up off of desk a couple mm. A minor issue.

Bought to use my legacy VGA monitor with a Asus google chromebox desktop, which only has displayport and HDMI out. Worked great.

Works when others don't

Pros: Works as intended.

Cons: Expensive for an adapter, but you get what you pay for.

This adapter works when others don't. I have a low power GPU with 4 Mini-DP outputs, and the cheaper Monoprice adapter couldn't get a signal through. I guess this manages the power better or something, but I plugged it in and am now happily using the 4th monitor "because I can."

My bad

Pros: Well built adapter

Cons: This was my fault but i thought this was a hdmi to vga adapter since that's what popped up when i put it into the search.

I'll hang onto it since i may need one down the road.

Please note that this adapter does not support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) so it will not work in a home theater system and will not support playback of HDCP protected DVDs and Bluray Discs from your computer.

Product Not As Advertised

Pros: The product seems to be a fine product, well made and useful. Which is why it received a '5' from me

Cons: I searched for a product and this product came up in the matches. However, it is not the correct product. Probably my fault for not knowing exactly what I needed. But... it could have been a little more clear that this was not what I searched for. The return process was easy, but seems very slow. It has been a week since I mailed it back and still no credit has been applied.

Didn't use the product so I have no idea whether it is good or bad
