Price.
Cons: Flat cable too rigid, unless in right position, will pull right out of your unit from the coiled tension.
I bought these to connect my XBOX one to my Sony receiver in a well stocked media room, so lots of connections, cables all in a cabinet. To get to units, I have to pull the cabinet out to access the back of the units and push it back into place. The problem is the flat coiled cable tension makes it difficult to position correctly so it won't pull out when I moved the cabinet into to proper position in the cabinet.
The other problem is it would not give handshake between XBOX One and Sony Receiver. Tried multiple times and it wouldn't connect. Changed back to old cable and worked fine. I will try to use these on BluRay and TV to see if it works, but for now it didn't work with XB1 and Sony receiver.
I'm giving it a six because it didn't work with XB1. If I can use it with other units great.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 4158. Just to verify, did you try both cables on this order between the Xbox One and receiver? If so, did you experience the same issues with each? Can we try connecting the cables between the Xbox One and TV directly just to further isolate what the issue may be? Also, please let me know your results when testing between the Bluray and TV.
If the problems still occur, I can assist you in obtaining a replacement to see if it will work better or a return RMA. We do have a lifetime warranty on cables and obtaining a replacement is of no additional cost. If you want to continue with an RMA, please let me know if you wanted to return it or obtain a replacement. Thank you!

Hi Gabby, I didn't try both cables with the XBOX One, just the first one. Everything is hooked up to a receiver, so the TV doesn't matter. Everything that I've plugged into the Sony receiver has worked except this cable.
I will try it with a BluRay and a HD TV at some point, and try the other one. I may still have use for them so no need to return them right now.
I'll let you know when I get results.

| | Works great | Pros: Good quality and price
Cons: Not easy to bend
first, the cable works, all my devices worked OK with this cable, i was told to use the thicket cable to connect devices to AVR, with HDMi specs such a mess i assume the HS is HDMI 2.0 compatible. i thought being flat cable it will be easy to maneuver, it will only bend in one direction along the axis of flat cable, round cables are easy to maneuver, i bought 15 to install through wall but i don't think i can use it, it will cost me more money to return it. these cable can not be used in wall installation because of their mending nature, i should've read reviews.

| | Overy insulated | Pros: It's an HDMI cable that works exactly like an HDMI cable should
Cons: The rubber insulation is super thick, so it's not as flexible as I need it to be.
Using it on a monitor mounted on a swing arm and it obviously binds up the movement. Better suited for a permanent placement type of installation

Cons: Bigger and thicker than I expected.
Good quality cables as always from Monoprice. These were too wide and thick for my needs.
