Good USB function however toggle button is clumsy

Pros: The device performs the function as advertised

Cons: Poor or nonexistant debounce on toggle button.

The device performs the function as advertised, solidly linking multiple USB hosts to a target device or devices.

The push button on the unit to toggle hosts has either poor debounce logic or no debounce logic on it at all. Pushing it may toggle to either the next host or may jump two or even three hosts per push. This can be frustrating as it may glitch multiple times requiring you to "go around the bend" multiple times when the intended host is missed. It makes the unit feel cheap when the function is otherwise solid.

Works as Described

Pros: Lightweight, no power supply needed

Cons: LED lights are bright for a dark room, no way to turn off lights when not in use

I bought this product to use a usb headset with three different sources. It so far lives up to the task. I have a PS3, PS4 and a PC computer and only one headset, this solved the need for me to have to switch the usb plug from device to device every time I wish to use the headset. On the pro side I listed light weight because it is so light that velcro can be used to mount it on the underside of a desk. I also like that I did not need an additional power brick to make it work. I have enough of these as it is. On the con side I say the lights are bright because it is in a bedroom and there is no way to make the led lights go off without unplugging all devices. I did not take away from the rating for this as it is not a huge deal to just tabe over the lights.

For the Poor Man's KVM...

Pros: Allows me to share my wireless keyboard/mouse dongle between 4 different machines easily and without hassle.

Cons: Sometimes there is a 10-15 sec delay after switching and the machine has detected the USB device to respond. Or there is a hesitation between what you are typing and when it appears. This is generally not a big problem unless I am jumping back and forth between machines.

My dual monitors have multiple inputs I have my primary machine on the DVI, my work laptop's docking station on the VGA. A tablet on one HDMI and an MBP on the other HDMI.

The USB switch goes to each and my Logitech Wireless Dongle is shared between them all. All I have to do is switch the input on the monitors and then switch the USB to the device I want.

Pros: none

Cons: did not work for me

It did not work for hooking it up to the Epson projecter. I wanted computers to share the projector but it does not. The projecter can be driven via USB. It works fine without the switch

Make sure that no other USB devices are connected to the computers to see if it'll work. Other devices might be taking up bandwidth as all devices share the same USB bus. Thank you!

great as a kvm

Pros: cheap and works - been using one for ~4years and still going

Cons: it's lighter than the cables you will plug in - used a little velcro on my desk.
the switching button got a little wonky for me - sometimes skips an input but cycle back around and it's there.

love it - i use this as a sort of KVM where 2 computers have their own monitors but i want to share the keyboard and mouse. when the computers are running their OSes i use Synergy app to share the mouse/keyboard but whenever i need a hard keyboard/mouse connection, i just manually switch usning this - Awesome and waay cheaper than a kvm!
