Cons: You have to remember which pc is connected to what port.
Simple and easy to use. No software to deal with especially if your pc is admin locked.

| | Doesn't work with all components! | Pros: well built, I like the green/blue LED light to let you know which device you are connected too.
Cons: didn't work for 2 of my components. wasn't the "same" as plugging in the USB device, unsure why.
This seemed like a great product but just be aware it doesn't work with every USB device. I attempted to use it to switch some gaming devices (wheel & pedal set) between playstation 4 and computer. I don't know if it's the fault of the component or this switcher product but it wouldn't register properly when pressing the button on the switcher so I ended up having to send 2 of these back. That said it seemed like a quality product and I'm sure it works great for other components but just didn't work in my scenario.

| | Working OKAY.... | Pros: easy to install, easy to use, inexpensive, convenient, comes with cables
Cons: not working perfectly
We've only had the switch for less than a month, so I can only comment on its performance during this time. It was extremely easy to install from the box,. All we had to do was plug in the USB cables from the computers to the switch, and the cable from the switch to the printer. You just need to press the button to switch from one computer to the other.
The issue I'm having is that computer B is not printing multiple copies of a document. It was working fine the first few days. However it stopped working soon after. If it has multiple pages it prints just fine, but if I want four copies of something it just prints one however, this is the only issue I'm having with the product and it isn't a deal breaker. I'm just hoping I'll find a solution to this one problem and I'd rate this 10/10.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello Meemers666,
Thank you for your review and my apologies for any inconvenience with PID 2994. If I may ask, is the printer set to the default printer on computer B? Also, It may be an issue with the operating system and the printer. May I also ask what operating system you are using on computer B?

by meemers666 Hi Mark,
I believe the printer is the set default printer for computer B. I just recently upgraded to Windows 10 but this issue began when I was still using Windows 7.
Thank you.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello Meemers666,
Looking into the issue I located on microsoft forums that some users were having the same issue with a printer where it only allows them to print one copy no matter how many you tell it to print. They solved the issue by disabling "Mopier Mode".
Mopier mode is used when the printer has an EIO hard disk installed. If the printer doesn’t have one, it will only print one copy. 1.Open the (Devices and) Printers Control Panel. 2.Right-click on the printer, and choose (Printer) Properties. 3.Click the Device Settings tab. 4.Scroll to the bottom of the list, and change “Mopier Mode” to “Disabled”, then click OK.
Another solution I have found is making sure when you are in the print menu that when selecting the amount of copies that "Collate" is checked.
Hope this helps!

by meemers666 Worked like a charm! Thank you!!!
by Monoprice Administrator Fantastic! Glad to hear it is working now!
With regards to the review, if you would like to edit the review to relate to how it is working now, since the issue was a setting in Windows rather than being an issue with the switch. With your permission, I can get that edited to what you wish to have written and adjust the score according to what you feel it should have.

| My printer doesn't show all the advanced features over wireless. This device allows me to connect it and my fiancee to switch it when needed and was very low cost. I added one to our large format scanner as well. Wish I did this years ago messing with HomeGroup sharing and not seeing my ink levels.
