I've bought a few of these for different locations. They have never failed me yet.

I had purchase 2 of these cables- opened one. It does not work with the iphone6s. I have requested an RMA for this. Waiting for the response.

We bought the wonderful car charger, item 13412, and both a 30 pin cable as well as this lightning cable for use on the road. The car charger and the 30 pin work together wonderfully, but plug in this lightning cable and the blue power light on the car charger immediately goes out.

During the process of elimination to find the culprit, I used a different lightning cable which immediately solved the problem. I then took this bad cable inside and plugged it into a power brick. At first, the iPad didn't recognize it. However, after playing around with the lightning connector a little bit, I was able to start charging.

This occurred fresh out of the box. These cables are defective from the factory and will disappoint you.

Pros: Fairly priced, available in a variety of lengths and colors, quick and relatively problem-free return.

Cons: If you don't treat them carefully, they're almost guaranteed to fail in a matter of months.

I buy the white ones for my spouse and not a single one has not failed in a matter months. That's the problem with sending us requests to review products so soon after purchase rather than months after the sale. To Monoprice's credit, they continue to send replacements. Curiously, I always buy the black ones and I've yet to have on fail. Whether they're constructed differently, or I treat my cords more gently, I don't know. The white ones always fail in the same place where the wire meets the plug. So if you use of these cords in any way involves bending these cords at a sharp angle where it exits the plug, these probably won't last very long at all for you. I'm religiously minful NOT to do this, and so this may be why my black cables have lasted longer.
