Description
HDBaseT™ 4x2 HDMI® Matrix Switch and Receiver
Monoprice is a proud member of the HDBaseT Alliance
Distribute up to four HDMI® audio/video source signals to any of two locations using this HDBaseT™ 4x2 HDMI Matrix Switch from Monoprice! This 4x2 Matrix Switch features four HDMI video inputs and two outputs. One of the outputs is a standard HDMI port for a local connection, while the other is an HDBaseT RJ45 jack for an extended connection. The HDBaseT technology allows for a full bandwidth 10.2Gbps data throughput to distances up to 328 feet over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The full 10.2Gbps bandwidth support means that this matrix supports all High Speed HDMI functions, including all HDMI 3D video modes, the extended 4K cinema resolution, 32-bit Deep Color, and high-definition compressed lossless audio, such as DTS-HD Master Audio™ and Dolby TrueHD™. The matrix features a built-in, bidirectional infrared (IR) signal extender, which allows you to remotely control devices at the source or destination end of the connection. Additionally, an IR Adapter allows you to use the IR repeater function with the HDMI cable connection. The HDBaseT extender is capable of transmitting a full-duplex 100Mbps local area network connection alongside the HDMI and IR signals. The matrix has two RJ45 LAN jacks on the back panel, while the HDBaseT Receiver has another two RJ45 LAN jacks. As long as one of the four jacks is connected to the network, the other three will propagate the network connection. This allows you to wire another room for HDMI video, IR remote control repeating, and full internet access, using only a single Cat6 cable! Note: While the extender will function using unshielded Cat5e cabling, we recommend the use of shielded Cat6 cabling for greater reliability over longer distances. Also note that any cable run through the walls must be rated for in-wall installations. Features:
This HDBaseT device is fully compatible with these other HDBaseT extender products from Monoprice:
Note: Monoprice strongly recommends using 22AWG, 24AWG, or active HDMI cables with Redmere technology to achieve the best results and to ensure minimum signal loss over longer distances. Support Files:
