2-Gang Wall Plate for Keystone, 6 Hole - White

Wall plate for use in conjunction with gang box and keystones. Use appropriate keystones to create a nicely finished, professionally installed look for Ethernet networks or Home Theater interconnects. Eliminate that cluster of wires and hide them behind a wall.

You CAN fit punch down RJ45s on top of eachother, but it's waaay too tight

Pros: After reading all the reviews you get exactly what you're expecting.

Cons: You actually CAN fit the ethernet keystones on top of one another, BUT you have to remove the punch down caps, and even then you will have a tremendously difficult time trying to remove the keystones if you ever want to because their is no room for the keystones to rotate vertically, and thus you are forced to just bend everything to get them out.

You need to buy your own 6 wall plate screws, either 1/2 inch or 1 inch, because as others have said, the screws that come with it are not long enough (they're only 1/4 inch). They stick out only a millimeter or two after passing the wall plate and the keystone insert.

The keystone insert does not sit completely sturdy in the wall plate, it has a minor degree of bend to it when touching it or plugging stuff in.

No idea why they included wood screws, complete waste, don't try to use them at all or you'll risk damaging the threads on the plate.

I don't know enough about standard wall plate screw positioning to comment on it other than to say it fit in my particular case, but if it's helpful to anyone I just measured the distance between the two screws as exactly: 3 and 13/16 inches.

After seeing the dozens of reviews stating VERY CLEARLY some extremely glaring problems with the product, I'm starting to suspect that Monoprice has no intention of fixing this problem until their current stock of this crap is depleted. So until they get off their butts, don't expect what you get in the mail to be any different than what everyone else here has experienced.

Pros: Good quality plastic. Looks nice.

Cons: Won't fit in a standard electrical box.

This plate is too tall. The screw holes will not align in a standard 2-gang electrical box. The single gang plates from monoprice fit nicely in a single gang box. I suspect it comes with pointed wood screws because it's supposed to attach directly to a wall, without an electrical box behind it. I probably won't be using this plate.

Hi Kevin,

Truly sorry to hear about your experience with PID 6833. It seems that there may be a compatibility issue with PID 6833 and the 2 gang electrical box in use. We do offer a 30 day return policy as well as a one year warranty on this item. If you are unsatisfied with this product, I can assist you in setting up an RMA if you have not done so already. Please let me know if you would like to continue with an RMA. Thank you!

Pros: *Inexpensive
*"Decora" style inserts work with waterproof covers

Cons: *Screws are junk
*Threads are junk

Let me start by saying I am a frequent Monoprice shopper, and think they do great stuff. This is the first product I've ordered that I've been disappointed in. The screws provided to affix the inserts to the box are pointed, like a wood screws, instead of bolts as you would normally find. No big deal, just buy bolts.

However, the threading on the inserts was terrible, where the plates attach to the inserts with short painted bolts. I ordered a bunch of these, and about 10% of the threads were great, and the screws going through the plate and into the inserts went in as intended. The rest ranged from "I think I'm actually creating new threading while I'm forcing this in" to "I need to go buy a threading tool and re-do this", and the latter is what I had to do for most.

Someone in quality control fell asleep at the wheel this time around, but luckily they can be easily fixed quality threading and the correct screws!

Pros: Adequate for a variety of keystones
High quality plastic

Cons: Screws provided are not typical machine screws for 2-gang LV box

Works well, was able to fit all of my Cat6 punch-down keystones (5384) into this plate without issue. High quality item. The screws provided (shown in picture) are not typical machine screws for a 2-gang LV box - they look more like wood screws. Fortunately I was able to re-use screws from another wall plate.

Can't use 6 RJ45 keystone couplers

Pros: None

Cons: Can't use 6 RJ45 keystone couplers

Before purchasing I was assured by a monoprice technical support representative that you could install SIX RJ45 keystone couplers (item 7303) into this plate (item 6833), so I placed an order. But six couplers won't fit they're too wide and cannot be installed adjacent to each other. At most you can install 4, leaving the middle slots empty.
