    Certainly not OEM quality

Pros: Cheap (in price, but alas also in quality)

Cons: Cheap (in quality, even if also in price)

Of three cable purchased: 1) was DOA 2) if the cable moves it will disconnect 3) Took 10+ hours to charge my phone (other cables take 5-6 hours). I love the price and the length, but in the end probably won't buy again.

    Works perfectly

    Pros: Long
    2 months and still working

Cons: Fragile holding pins on micro-usb side (as with most cables)

I use this cable to connect my Xbox controller while I have the batteries charging. It works, what else can I say? It is really long, longer than I thought it would be. The only thing is I'm afraid the tip of the micro-usb will start becoming loose, but that has happened to almost all of my micro-usb cables that receive constant use.

    Good Quality - Reasonable Price

Pros: Haven't used Monoprice for a while and found they have good quality items at a reasonable price and ship just as fast as the "other guys". I seems to me they have a lot more items for sale than when I previously visited their site.

    Cons: None

Can't beat this cable for the price 10 feet long and under two bucks. I actually bought a second in case I "needed it someday". Cables weren't here a week and I found a use for the second one, keeping a charge on a Bluetooth speaker. Both work fine, no issues at all.

    Micro USB connectors break

    • Jim,

    Pros: Long length

Cons: Cheap connectors bend and break.

The USB "A" side of the cable is fine, but on the micro USB side, the connectors bend and break way too easily. Bought two of these and they both broke with normal use.

    Very Slow Charging

The cable accomplishes it's main function of giving me some more space to work with when charging my phone. However, it charges exceptionally slowly. It seems nothing extra was done to handle the extra cable loss compared to the 3 or 6 foot cables. If you are looking for something that charges on par with shorter cables, go for a higher grade cable.
