Pros: price

Cons: none

Works great no complaints and the price is great. I got a 10ft cable here cheaper than a 6ft cable costs at Walmart.

HDCP the cord broken or was this intintional?

Pros: its long and purple. i needed it for my color coded receiver system.

Cons: i think the cord has an issue with hdcp. it does not display content when other cords do.

I am a streamer on twitch and i needed a long hdmi cord so i bought this one to fit right into my color coded system. I buy all my cords from monoprice. I have an avermedia Live gamer HD that i stream from. i use a monoprice hdmi cable from the console into the "in" port and a monoprice cable into the "out" port to the receiver.

this setup has always worked for me and i have no complaints. I moved my streaming computer a few feet away, and needed a longer chord, so i bought this purple one to fit the bill. this chord does not work in the "out" port of the live gamer hd. at first i thought either my receiver or computer were going out, but then i tried changing cables to some of my old colored monoprice cables and low and behold it worked. So i know its this specific cable. I guess ill have to buy another one on my next order.

Monoprice is great and ill still buy all my cables from here, its just disappointing when things dont work. these things happen though.

Hello K M,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 4028. 28AWG cables such as this one are perfect for short direct connection between source devices and the television. However, when using an A/V receiver with HDMI switching, we recommend using 24AWG. Receivers tend to put a greater load on the signal passing through which can lead to handshaking issues sometimes as you are experiencing currently. The thicker 24AWG lowers signal resistance and helps compensate for this. The shorter 28AWG cables installed previously may have worked, however it is a possibility that the added length is straining the signal even more. For the 10ft length, I recommend either using a 24AWG HDMI cable or an active Redmere cable for the best reliability.

Just in case, here is the link to a 24AWG 10ft HDMI cable (PID 3662):

or if you still wanted to keep the cable thin and flexible, our Redmere cables have a built in chip to help boost and equalize the signal through a thinner cable for these types of setups (PID 9890):

If you would like, we can troubleshoot the issue by testing the cable directly between a source (cable box, Bluray player, computer, ect.) and display to see if the issue persists. This would show us if the cable is defective or if it is a signal strength issue with the current setup. My apologies again for any inconvenience and I hope this helps!

Needed the length to snake into the wall and the color made it easy to pick out which was which. Cable works perfectly and arrived in a few days. Very satisfied.

Pros: CO$T

Cons: None

I purchased multiple colors of the 10ft HDMI cables to give each of my (4) kids their own color to keep with their laptops. The different colors help eliminate any issues of ownership. The cables work flawlessly connecting their laptops to any screen that has a HDMI input. Would recommend this product to others.
