    270° 6-Watt (35W Equivalent) A 19 LED Bulb, 450 Lumens, Warm/ Soft (2900K) - Non-Dimmable

Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 6-watt A19 LED Bulb from Monoprice!

This LED bulb uses only 6 watts of power, but produces 450 lumens of light energy at 2900K, equivalent to a standard 35-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2.4" in diameter and 4.7" tall and has an 85 ~ 265 VAC operating range.

The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. It uses the superior Epistar diodes, is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.

The bulb generates light in the 2900K range (Color Rendering Index greater than 80) with an impressive beam angle of 270°, which generates the kind of soft and warm feeling that is perfect for most home lighting needs. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.

Cons: Cold/harsh white, 5 have failed over last 2 years, do not reach full brightness quickly.

Brighter than I expected and more on the cold (harsh) side. 5 have failed over the 2+ years.

Pros: I bought 3 sizes and they are fine , the 10watt 12159 replaces GE 65w flood bulbs and these are much brighter, fit the recessed fixtures just like the GE. ..I did buy a few 12w 12122, cool/daylight but we prefer the warm/soft lights better. This was an order for 19 bulbs and next week I plan on ordering another dozen or so for other fixtures. Very satisfied with the bulbs, the service, and the price.

    Cons: None

If you have questions, use the CHAT, they are very prompt and usefull...be sure to read if they are warm or cool....cool are very white and bright, warm are more like regular light bulbs but brighter.

Pros: Saves $ Comes on virtually instantly. Mention this because have seen some reviews on various forums stating there is a delay.

Cons: Not a negative in our case, but is little larger than "std." 40w bulb

Am looking to replace other bulbs w. LED.

    Disappointment

    Pros: None

Cons: Poor color rendition, sharp white with green color tinge light

The "bulb, which generates the kind of soft and warm feeling that is perfect for most home lighting needs" in fact generates nauseous feeling from its cool light with green tinge, appropriate for the Shrek's household. It has an awful color rendition and does not look to be 2900K warm/soft light.
