PROS: Small, lightweight, easy to use
CONS: I wish one could very the magnification, but that would be asking a lot at this price
We're going to start playing a family "Guess what this is" game where someone has control of the microscope while everyone else has to sit on the couch and cannot look at anything except the tv/computer screen (our tv IS our computer).
By the way, looking closely at your skin you'll quickly find flakes of black things - that's dirt - and you'll promptly want to go take a shower. :)
PROS: Bright, good focus, amazing to use
CONS: Get so used to just grabbing anything to look at that you quickly get disappointed that you can't look CLOSER at things. But not really a "con."
PROS: Small ease to hold and use
CONS: None yet
PROS: No nonsense setup. Easy to use.
PROS: Easy to use even by kids
Works better than expected
CONS: Really no major cons, the only thing I would mention is that the software can take a little time to recognize the device.
XP install went without a hitch
Win7 x32 Not so well, but did get it going by using the USB port on the rear of the computer.
I'm very happy the this device
PROS: A great little microscope for the price.
CONS: No way to control the lighting.
I wish it had an On-Off switch so I could leave it plugged into the USB port
The half-star deduction is because there does appear to be an off/on switch you plug it into the usb slot and it is on, lights and all! I'd like to leave it permanently plugged in, but off for my technologically impaired hubby. Also, there is only one magnification option. However, for the price, what does one expect? All in all, a sturdy well-working device.
PROS: Sturdy for the price
Easy to install and use
Does what it says it will do
CONS: No on/off switch
Only one magnification level
PROS: Very clear, very good resolution. Compact. Interface is simple.
CONS: Limited resolution. Comes with a CD for install only.
