    Outstanding for the price

    Pros: Great value, very sturdy

Cons: works better with an adjustable head

I brought this as my sole tripod during a recent trip through southeast Asia. The tripod was super sturdy and survived through pouring rain storms (camera was covered, tripod got soaked), sandy beaches and held up fine. It supported both my point and shoot (G7X) as well as my SLR with no issues. I highly recommend getting an adjustable head as finding a perfectly level angle via manipulation of the legs can be challenging. I received a number of compliments on this particular tripod from other travelers as it has a more rugged looked compared to its name branded counterpart. No complaints with this tripod and it has found a permanent home in my camera bag.

Broke after just a few uses

    Pros: None.

    Cons: Not durable at all.

Used very lightly, and the plastic legs already broke off. Very poor/cheap construction and not worth even half the price.

    Hi Jesse,

Thank you for your review on PID 10269. I am truly sorry to hear that the legs have broken off. If I may ask, can you send me pictures of the legs so we can look into this matter further? Also, if within the one year warranty, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a replacement. Obtaining the replacement tripod would be of no additional cost to you. If you would like to proceed with the RMA, please provide the order number and I will get that started right away. Thank you and I hope this helps!

    Grabs like a champ!

    Pros: Strong!

    Cons: None

I needed a solution to taking pictures from a remote (non tripod usable) location...

THIS did the trick! As a mobile DJ, I need to grab shots of the dance floor or crowd shots. I attached the RoboPod to my speaker stand and let it take a few minutes of video. Grabbed a few frames from that, and it was as if I was standing ten feet off the floor! Great stability and strength!

    HIGHLY recommend!

    Gorillapod +

Pros: Seems sturdy, versatile, legs can be tightened and won't "pop off" like Gorillapod legs if you try and bend them too far. Little carabiner clip for hanging or transport. Feet screw in and out (or off) which I'm not sure if that's good or not. They were all loose when I got them. Hopefully they won't come loose on their own.

Cons: Maybe a bit heavier than the same sized Gorillapod and the "neck" area is a bit bigger. The "carry bag". Who would use it? It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get it in which makes it even worse.

Seems to be a good contender to the similar sized gorillapod and maybe a bit better if the minor size and weight difference isn't a minus for your situation.

I am not a professional photographer, so this is exactly what I needed. Good product.
