Rusted and chipped

Pros: It arrived

Cons: Gold plated that is exposed to air, some areas were rusty and corroded.

This was ordered for a time sensitive project so there was no way sending it back but I had to use it. Purchased a pair and both were rusted and corroded. When I unscrewed the jacket sleeve, the gold plated underneath the jacket was fine.

How these were shipped to me without visual inspection was a major let down.

Don't recommend this product and monoprice for prospect customers.

Pros: Solid build, gold plated, easy to install, great price

Cons: None

Used these to repair a couple of xlr cables that were damaged. Found these connectors very easy to install, They fit the cable and make good solid, quiet connections.

Pros: price, performance.

Cons: The little holes where you slide the wire through are really quite small...

Yeah, so I've reviewed the TRS and MXLR counterparts already and my feelings are the same here. Solid connectors. Seems like a logical, rugged design. The price has allowed me to wire my modest home recording set-up at a fraction of the price that it would have cost me with pre-assembled cables. I have used other connectors (mostly Neutrik), and in comparison these work great, feel very solid, solder easily, and make sense to me.

Fantastic Connector, and fits perfectly (unlike the Male connector)

Pros: Construction, Look, Feel, Price

Cons: None

These are fantastic screw type connectors. They're super easy to solder to, they look great, and they fit right. The Male XLR connector from Monoprice fits VERY tight into your gear and mic panels, but this connector doesn't suffer from that.
