    love em
I've been doing a bunch of "custom" wiring in my modest home-recording setup, and these little guys have been great. I actually prefer working with them to the Neutrik. I've been able to make my own cables and wire up my gear for a fraction of what it would have cost to purchase the pre-assembled cables. The design seems simple and solid, and they are easy to solder.

    PROS: price. performance.

CONS: If you use the monoprice mic cable, the little metal springy ends supplied with the TRS connector are really too small diameter to fit over the cable. Also, the little holes where you slip the wires through are pretty small. I've cursed a couple times, but it always worked out in the end.

Good - not perfect, better than most
For the cost this is a great 1/4" plug. Easy to solder, built like the Switchcraft plugs (same cable clamp for example) and has good heat insulation between the tabs. Once they are finished it felt a little loose within it self, it fit into the 1/4" jacks fine. Happy.

PROS: Looks and feels solid. Easy to solder.

CONS: Couple felt like a loose fit.

    Great Connectors
I really enjoy using these connectors. I purchased 24 of them to use as replacement connectors for a snake I use for my outboard gear. They look and feel amazing and generally speaking are great to solder to. My only minor gripe is that the holes in the tip and ring solder tags are too small. Even when using 24 guage Gepco cable my conductors were too large to go through once tinned. Again, that's an easy work-around and minor issue, and outside of that they're wonderful connectors. I will be ordering more.

    PROS: Contruction, Feel, Look, Price

CONS: Tip and sleeve holes could be a little larger to acomodate through-hole soldering.

    Quality all the Way
We needed something to replace the 350 plugs on speakers that were breaking and not holding up to some rather rigorous use. We chose this jack from Mono Price to deliver the quality and stamina we needed, and we have not been disappointed.

PROS: None, this is a high quality solder on connector.

    CONS: Non

    TRS Connectors
I really like these connectors. I combine them with Monoprice bulk cable and have great results in the studio or on the stage. Great, all purpose connector and easy to assemble. Plus, I like their looks and the price is right on the money. These are my first choice over all other brands.

PROS: Good looking, durable, reliable, easy to assemble, great price.

    CONS: None

    Nice plugs
I use these plugs for all new balanced cables for our band's PA hook-ups. They look like they'll last forever.

    PROS: Sturdy, nice design

    CONS: none

On par with Neutrik/ REAN NYS 202 line
So to the other folks that were talking about the tip or ring shorting to ground against the shell of the plug, yes, I was getting this happening as well. Seems some of the insulators that go over the solder points are not long enough to cover the tip and ring solder tabs. Solution is to shrink wrap over the solder tabs. Have reported this to monoprice and hopefully they'll address it in future manufacturing runs. These aren't as nice as the switchcraft version, but they're better than the NYS version, and priced nicely!

PROS: Inexpensive, good quality, spring relief is a nice touch.

CONS: inner insulation sleeve is not long enough on some of the plugs. Fine if you shrinkwrap the connector.
