Pros: Cheap and good quality cable.
Great bang for your buck . It's as good as any other store bought cable but is a little thick for certain applications.
I can recommend this product to anyone that is making their own cables , either 1/4" or XLR .

Pros: Price, construction, quality, everything.
I am an electronics R&D engineer with 30 years experience. Every product/project has cabling requirements. I have hand built many, many prototype cables in the lab and specified many for production. Most of these were multi-conductor for the telecom industry. I had never built audio cables before my son got serious about guitar and I was put in charge of the PA system for the family reunion. This cable exceeded my expectations. This cable coupled with the high quality monoprice connectors can't be beat. Why would anyone complain about a thick rubber outer insulator? The braided copper shielding was heavier than expected. I didn't put a caliper on the two inner conductors, but they are plenty heavy for audio. I might find other uses for this cable, if I ever need a two conductor shielded or a three conductor for a project.

Pros: Cable has a great feel to it. Easy to manipulate and work with. Great cost for this quality of cable. Looks great and works great at the end of the day.
Cons: You have to be very careful with soldering iron temperature. The insulators surrounding the 2 cores, melt at different temperatures, and this temperature is lower than with Mogami or Canare cables. Also if building short cables, pulling on one of the cores to strip the insulator, can literally pull that entire insulator and core out of the Sleeve. This is very frustrating, so make sure to clamp the far end of the cable before stripping the wires!
Cable is a great buy. Couple little quirks to work out and this would be a great cable to use in all situations (live, studio, install etc.)
