Pros: Just as unearthly quiet as the expensive AES/EBU "big name" cables at the audio store...It's gotta have some decent EMI/RFI shielding in spite of the absurdly low price.
And it costs less than 1% the price of their cheapest AES/EBU "big name" cables!
Excellent connectors are tight and solid as a rock.
HUGE improvement over coax and optical digital cables.

Cons: Not quite as good sounding as the "big name" obscenely expensive AES/EBU exotic cables.
Thought this is hardly a con at less than 1% of the cost of those other "magic" cables.
Takes some time to settle in and sound it's best so be patient.

I bought this to hook up an old "stable transport" CD deck via Monarchy Audio DIP (digital data stream re-clocker) to my Emotiva XDA-2 DAC. The improvement over the original DACs in the deck was no less than shocking. It's like every CD I have is new, again. Holographic and spatial information that was kinda there is now in-your-face spectacularly present. I had a choice between this cable and a couple audiophile AES/EBU cables which I had taken home on loan from my local drug...er, stereo dealer. At first the Monoprice cable sounded kind of flat but still utterly silent like the high-priced ones on hand. Twenty hours of music later, the Monoprice cable opened WAAAY up and gave the $500 and $700+ cables a run for their money. I decided to keep the Monoprice cable. Over a month later, the cable has improved by delivering smoother high-frequencies, i.e., less digital "crunch" as it electrically settles in further. I am absolutely astonished at the quality of this cable for the money. I'd buy another in a heartbeat and gladly use the $500 I saved to buy more music. It doesn't get much better than that!

    Pros: Works
    Fits like a glove

    Cons: None

Whenever I say to myself "I need to get a cable for x reason" I think "Monoprice!".

For the past 5+ years I've been buying my cables from Monoprice and not one of them has failed in that time.

You get quality and savings all in one place. Why would you purchase cables elsewhere?
