35ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4inch TRS Male 16AWG Cable (Gold Plated)
Monoprice’s line of Professional Audio cables brings you high performance cables at rock bottom prices. Whether you’re connecting broadcast equipment, instruments for your band or your high end entertainment system, Monoprice has the interconnect cables for you.
Balanced audio cables utilize impedance balanced lines that reduce EM and RF noise and extend the effective range of the cable run. Additionally, unlike standard unbalanced RCA interconnects that utilizes their braid as a signal return, balanced cables have a separate braided shield to provide additional resistance to interference without modulating the interference into the signal. This prevents ground loop issues.
XLR to 1/4" TRS balanced pro audio cables provide high fidelity and eliminate noise in the recording studio and on the stage. Our new Permier Series cables up the ante in terms of construction quality and performance.

PROS: Quality, durability, connectors, price
PROS: Very good quality cables, many choices and the lowest price anywhere. Ordering online was very easy and the delivery was quicker than I had expected. I have bought from Monoprice many times in the past and will continue to do so in future.
Thank you, monoprice, for such terrific customer service.
CONS: Don't have any.
PROS: High grade cable, quality connectors, next day delivery, lowest price.
CONS: people might try to steal them.
PROS: The delivery was very fast and packed very well. The cables are of high quality and the construction of cable to connectors is very stable. A hint for all those that haul their equipment in a trailer a lot as I do. Put a drop of glue on all screws on the connectors before you load in the trailer. Years of experience have taught me no matter how good the quality the screws have a tendency to vibrate loose.
PROS: the connectors seem to be very high quality. You can't beat the price per foot. Shielding prevents any hums in the speakers. Lifetime warranty is awesome too.
CONS: Just used it a couple times. Haven't found any at the moment.
PROS: Thick cable
Heavy Duty Gold Plated Connectors
Very Reasonable Price
PROS: Appears to be very heavy duty cable with thick outer jacket, and good quality gold-plated connectors on both ends.
CONS: TRS connector appears to be a plastic housing instead of metal. However, the XLR connector is fully metal housing.
The quality of the materials used in these Monoprice microphone cable assemblies are above average. The XLR connectors are made from die cast metal with an attractive black chrome finish and are fitted with standard locking features. The contacts and mating features are gold flashed and the mechanical tolerances and overall build quality appear to be very good. The force required to mate the connector with equipment is quite firm. Once mated, the connectors are rigidly coupled and would seem to be immune intermittent contact due to vibrations. The cable clamp is properly sized and compresses the cable jacket to prevent slippage (avoids stressing the internal wire terminations). The black flexible cable strain relief is captive by the cable clamp and affords sufficient relief of the cable exit. The cable material is made up of a black jacketed, shielded pair of 16awg conductors. The shield is bare copper with what appears to be a spiral braid that Monoprice claims to achieve 97.5% coverage. Each of the signal conductors are insulated with PVC jacket. One is black and the other white. The cable conductors are soldered to the XLR connector terminals with no insulating tubing used except for the shield conductor. The connector shell easily comes apart by removing three small screws if servicing should be required. The cable jacket diameter is about 0.3 inches (7.5mm) which is much thicker and heavier than other mic cables in this price range.
I used these cables with the several mic pre amps using different input impedance settings and found no fault with the audio quality, even when compared to more expensive cable varieties. The cable lay and flex properties are very good and the thick jacket should hold up to years of stage or studio use. Most industry offering in this price category offer thinner 24awg cabling with lower quality fit and finish. Overall I was impressed with both the quality and the price of these cables. I paid less than $12 for the 35 foot version and Monoprice offers lengths from 1.5 ft. to 150 ft. I highly recommend these cables for anyone just starting out or even pros looking to stock up on spares for the studio.
PROS: Above average materials and build quality. Great value!
CONS: None to speak of...
