Folding Sheet Music Stand

Q: What's the best way to hold your sheet music when playing a musical instrument?

  1. Place it on a nearby table or chair,
  2. Tape it to the wall,
  3. Have someone hold it for you,
  4. Use this Folding Sheet Music Stand from Monoprice!

OK, that was kind of obvious, wasn't it?

They tray includes spring clips to hold the sheets in place.

  • Adjustable Height: From 29" to 58" tall
  • Base: 22" wide
  • Tray: 19.5" wide X 11.5" tall

Would be a fantastic value even if it cost three times as much

Pros: Lightweight. Great price. Monoprice quality. Encouraging my daughter to practice more.

Cons: None

I bought two of these, one of my daughter and the other for myself, as we are just starting to take guitar classes together. We are given a few new sheets with new chords and songs to practice each week and using a coffee table wasn't cutting it. At less than $7 each these stands work fantastic for our needs. I also like to place my smartphone on the stand as I am our class, and I am happy to see these are sturdy enough to also hold my phone (or our tablets) as we also tend to play around with guitar-learning apps. What a great value. Thanks Monoprice for another great product.

Our Band Likes Them

Pros: A great stand for a great price. We were able to buy enough for our entire East Orange Unified Marching Band. We were impressed with the top tabs and the spring clips for holding music open and keeping it from blowing away.

Cons: It's too soon to know how long they will last or if the students will find them cumbersome.

I needed a lot of music stands for a newly formed community band, and these were the least costly of all that I found. I was able to buy enough to outfit the entire band and when they arrived we were all impressed at their quality and the extra music holding features we hadn't anticipated. The fact the each came with a carrying case meant that the students could borrow them to take home for practice.

Serves its purpose

Pros: inexpensive, fairly sturdy

Cons: Stand is not level, tilts about 10 degrees and no way to adjust without bending it.

For less than $7 I can not complain

cheap and flimsy

Pros: very cheap. and very light

Cons: unstable and flimsy

this stand is so flimsy it wobbles and the shelf is very narrow, so all in all, it's probably OK for indoor use with only a few sheets of music, as long as you don't extend it too high.
Plus mine came with a defective screw so it's pretty much unusable.
Judging from other reviews, I may have gotten a defective one (aside from the defective screw, that is)
Contacted monoprice, waiting for resolution.

Thank you for your review on PID 602400! Truly sorry to hear about the broken screw. I see that you have already setup an RMA for a replacement. If I may ask, can you send me the picture of the broken screw? My email address is . I will be submitting a complaint on the music stand so our product team can look into resolving these issues or making the product better. My apologies again for the trouble and thank you in advance!

as usual Monoprice excelled in their customer service and shipped me a brand new stand immediately. The replacement has no broken parts so that's good.
However, I still can't recommend the stand on its own merits if you're going to use it in any situation where you need stability (e.g. gigs) or for more than a few sheets of paper.
So 11 stars to Monoprice, a little as possible for the stand itself.

Flimsy in parts

Pros: Cheap.
Nicely configurable.
Comes with case.

Cons: Mostly metal, but some load-bearing parts are plastic and break.

I've had this a few weeks.
The sliding collar to which the legs attach allowing them to spread is made of plastic. The rivet that holds the leg to that collar broke through and one leg is free of the collar, making the stand very unstable. I didn't abuse it and I only put a few pieces of sheet music on it at a time.
Shame since it's otherwise a decent stand.

Hi Gabby I just sent you a picture via email. If you want me to try and make it clearer (no guarantees I can) let me know.

I didn't realize this was warrantied and would love to get the RMA started for this.

Thanks for being so proactive

I have to say Monoprice customer service is peerless. I didn't ever contact them about this product except via the review above, and still they contacted me and replaced the stand twice.

This third one looks a little sturdier where the others broke (the flange that slides up and down to splay out the legs broke where a leg connected to the flange). I think this will work for me for much longer than the other ones.

Stand is still very configurable. Has nice clips to hold sheets down. Works fine. Worth the price if this one lasts.

Thanks Monoprice!
