Cheap, cheap plastic hand clutch

Pros: Assembles easily, holds a microphone.
Ordered 2 of these and they arrived with the plastic clutch base snapped in half around the stand, leaving the top to sit loose and crooked with no hope of repair. This unit seems to emulate the norm for the hand-clutch variety, but does not have the build quality to be worth the savings.

Thank you for your review and my apologies for the condition that PID 602510 arrived in. I see that there are four of these stands on your order. Just to verify, were you able to inspect all four units? Also, can you send me pictures of the broken clutch bases so we can look into this matter further? If you would like, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for replacements. We cover these stands with a one year warranty and obtaining the replacements would be of no additional cost to you. Please let me know if you would like to proceed and thank you in advance!

Pros: holds microphone, adjustable, good weight on bottom, but not too heavy.
Cons: i cannot sing.... :)
Its OK for the price.

Pros: Cheap and has good features.
Cons: You need to be sure you don't touch the hand brake or else the mic will drop down low.
The height adjustment is pretty weak and the mic drops easily if you hit the hand clutch by accident. Its a good concept but bad design. I stopped using it as a mic stand and mounted it to a wall to use as a boom mic or camera mount.
Good for the money

Pros: Inexpensive and fairly good quality. Plenty heavy for small microphones.
Cons: Grip is not too strong so the stands will contract if you hold them
These work well, just be aware they are a 3/8" mount and won't work with some 5/8" items, like their clip in mic holders, without an adapter.
