Pros: Solid, weighty, strong, and inexpensive

    Cons: None yet

I'm using this to mic the lower rotor on my Leslie cabinet. Like another reviewer said, this stand does more than desktop use - guitar amps, bass amps, kick drums, Leslie lower rotors. I'm glad Monoprice carries this.

    Beware of variations in manufacture

    Pros: Solid, heavy base.
    Flexible neck.

Cons: Does not come with male 5/8" to female 3/8" screw adapter.

While the stand itself is fine, I was a bit disappointed that it did not come with a male 5/8" to female 3/8" screw adapter like other reviews had mentioned. The one I got only has a 5/8" connector, so I guess I need to buy an adapter myself. The description of the product does not mention that it would come with it, but I was relying on what other reviewers had said, so I guess there must be some variation in how these stands are manufactured. Just FYI.

    PERFECT Guitar Amp stand

    Pros: Easy to adjust (obviously)
good rubber stoppers to keep it from moving too easily
    gooseneck is tight

Monoprice should really think about re-labeling this as a guitar amp mic stand - perfect for that. Easy to adjust, and it can handle a mic that weighs quite a bit (I've got 2 Cascade Fatheads - one on each stand). The base is heavy too, so it can handle quite a few weird or awkward angles before it starts to tip over. Another home run product by Monoprice.

    First disappointment from Monoprice

Pros: Sturdy, solid construction, ain't going no where, neck is perfect for what is, as functional as you can ask for it to be.

Cons: Sloppily constructed. Epoxy all over the base of the unit. Must be a mistake because every other part of the stand looks clean and well constructed. But the seam where the bottom of the base was attached to the weighted top of the base is just ugly and sloppy.

I'd give the thing a 10 if it wasn't so poorly slapped together. Does what it's supposed to just doesn't look good doing it.
