Pros: Very bright, good color, solid construction for the money, and very quick to get added into my show.

Cons: the 25/45 is a little misleading. Supposedly 25 degree hot spot is probably closer to 30, and the 45 degree field is probably closer to 50 if not more. Barn doors would be extremely helpful for my application as I can't cross light from the opposite side of the stage with the wide field. It seems that making a barn door option that could mount on the gel mounts would be perfect. I will probably be engineering my own that will do that very thing. I don't understand what you would use a gel for on RGBW pars, so I was hoping that barn doors were an optional accessory.

We ordered 1 as a test, and will be ordering 3 more, We would have ordered 7 more but as some reviews have noted, they have a very wide angle, and no barn doors as an add on. I run a show for a 5 piece band that has been using much smaller 4 3 watt LEDs for each RGB color par cans to light individual members, and this is a major improvement over those, More light at 50% of the intensity channel than the previous units. Will update once I figure out a barn door solution.

Great lights but they don't last forever

Pros: Bright, cheap, good spread, multiple colours on a single LED allow for minimal ghosting of colours.

Cons: The fan doesn't turn off unless it's unplugged. (We have the lights setup along the top of our stage at church but the fan runs 24/7. So we had to create an arduino box that cuts the power to the units after the DMX signal disappears (Luckily we have an electrical engineer that could design this for us.) For most people you'd need a power bar and turn the lights on an off manually.

Another issue is the durability of these lights. There seems to be an issue with the red LED driver. We have a setup of 8 of these lights, 4 of them have now failed. First 2 were within warranty, but the second 2 weren't. So we had to order 2 more. I'm ok with some failure on a cheap light like this, especially because we use them frequently, but on 3 of the 4 failures it's been the red LEDs that cut out, or flicker. So if it's always the same problem, then something is wrong with the design.

Great little lights. Amazing price for the amount of light it puts out. (See my other reviews with videos and photos of the lights in action) The options are great, we control them via DMX and love the setup.

However, in the past 2 years we have had 4 of these fixtures break (We have a setup of 8 fixtures) 3 of which were the red LEDs that start flickering and then stop working all together. Seems to me like there's a design flaw that needs to be addressed.

We are still buying them because even if they break, the brightness of these lights at this price is unheard of and right now we can't afford to buy 'brand name'.

    Great Little LED

Pros: Very Bright for their size, very cost effective.

Cons: Don't get them wet, not enough clearance between the DMX port and the yoke

We have 40 of these that we use for uprights and small show lighting. They pack great punch. I've had guys with much more expensive LEDs ask me where we got these, they were all quite impressed and usually fairly shocked when i tell them the price.

As for the bad... Don't get them wet, but that should go without saying since there not outdoor rated (of course i tried it, we have one that hasn't worked right sense). Also if your using them for uplight, a normal DMX connector sticks out further than the yoke, and its hard to get them to shoot straight up (we normally don't DMX them for uplight so not really an issue)

    Pros: Lightweight, bright, quiet, cool

Cons: Bracket doesn't fit standard tube mount

I purchased three of these in a hurry for a church talent show. They were a great success, turning our fluorescently-lit hall into a theater. Two of these were positioned at the corners of a 16' x 8' stage, and one aimed at a piano for solos. I used the Monoprice controller and dmx cables to set up 8 scenes for different parts of the performance. Flawless functionality, and everyone was amazed that our hall could look so good. We have subsequently used them for other ceremonies. My only concern now is finding barn doors that fit these lights. Does anyone have information regarding where to buy or how to mount barn doors to these lights?
