Pros: Selectable lamps...either one or two lamps on at the same time.

Cons: Takes (3) AAA batteries, only supplied with two

So far this little light seems to do a great job. Takes (3) AAA batteries and is only supplied with two, so just know that you will need an extra battery to make the light work straight out of the box

I thoght I would do the job, but won't

Pros: It's compact, it works, and it's inexpensive enough to cause me to buy it, without a lot of thought or planning.

Cons: The USB/battery option wouldn't work for me, in the specific application.

To be honest, this was a toss-in purchase along with an orchestra light, which was really great, so I will just find a way to use this little guy for something else, later. It's not a terrible light for very specific applications... don't know how it would work for music, as the name implies, but it would be in a fairly restrictive area of illumination need.

The USB powered option was okay, but for me it would put a wire in an area I would rather not have one... just picky, but I'm sure I would snag it and rip it out of the lamp, accidentally, if I used it. I even tried the battery option, and a good set of Duracells won't last very long, if I forget to turn the light off after using it. Now, on top of all that, I even lost the USB power cable for it... temporarily, I hope.

Great Little Light

Pros: Bright, USB Connector

I've purchased several of these kinds of lights over the past couple of years and none of them can match this one. To be fair, the rest were battery operated. However, they weren't nearly as bright as this one.

It is nice that there are two bulbs so that you have two levels of light. The included cable is long enough for most situations but we fell a couple of inches short so I bought a 3 foot extender.

I highly recommend this light!

Pros: * USB power and 3xAAA battery are useful features
* included USB cord isn't super-long, but pick up an inexpensive extension cable (i.e. 5433 for less than 2 bucks!)
* LED! Plenty of light for one sheet does OK with two sheets but the double head light would be better for that or more sheets.
* gooseneck stays in place when adjusting

Cons: * light is in the 4100 Kelvin or cooler range which is typical for the most efficient and economic LED's this color range can be more glarey than warmer lamps (i.e. incandescent bulbs) but this is subjective to the end user
* The plug is not the tightest fit into the light housing and can sometimes pull out a little too easily.
* when the clip slips and slams shut, the battery cover (and batteries, if they are in there) can go flying. On the other hand, the battery cover is easy to remove.
* where the gooseneck goes into the housing appears to be the weak link. no problems yet, but I would guess this would be where this eventually may fail (but hopefully not!).

I've had one in the studio for several months and it works great so I bought another three as book lights/bedside lights. Good value!
