Guitar Capo (Longer Length for Wider Fretboards)
Alter the pitch of your guitar with this Guitar Capo from Monoprice!
Capos by design hold the strings tightly in place on a desired section of your guitar in order to alter the tone or pitch without changing your finger positioning. This high quality capo is a trigger-style made of aluminum with rubber accents for easy one-handed application and removal. The rubber grip on the handle keeps it from slipping out of your hand during application, and has a rubber mouth to prevent any damage to your guitar.
This guitar capo has a longer length which is designed to be used on guitars with wider fretboards. It will however also work on guitars with traditional fretboards.
PROS: This capo works great on my flat classical fretboards.
I looks nice and is easy to use.
The price was good which makes it even better.
I would compare it with capos costing several dollars more.
I do have cheaper ones, but they are not that easy to use.
PROS: It holds the strings down.
CONS: It does not make me a better guitar player.
PROS: Works great. Easy on off. Longer 'snout' for wider fretboards.
CONS: None really. It's a little large but that is a function of necessity.
PROS: Good price, quick shipping.
PROS: price, decent construction, doesn't look cheap, one size fits all*, works for wider fretboards like 12 strings,
CONS: no tension adjust, *may not fit all necks, not sure how roadworthy it will be in the long term
I also tried the standard length mono price capo ... it works perfectly ....
The extra length capo is great for spanish guitars
PROS: Wiorks great with a mylon string flat fret board
CONS: Does not work with steel string acoustics or electroc guitars
PROS: Works OK with my 6 string
CONS: Doesn't work with my 12 string. I bought the longer capo for my 12-string so that it would cover the wider neck. Length is fine, but it isn't strong enough to hold the strings in place, about half the strings are muted.
I am truly sorry to hear about your experience with the Guitar Capo. If you would like I can assist you with setting up a replacement to see if it'll work better. Or if its incompatible with your guitar I can assist you in setting up a return. Please let me know, thank you!
PROS: It looks nice, it has a long reach as advertised. It certainly is inexpensive.
CONS: It has such poor spring tension that it would not work on either of my two 12 string guitars, nor even on my six string. It did not work even higher up the neck as the neck thickened. It is inexpensive, but I'm afraid that it is cheap.
