MP-MiCo Optical Pro Speed Gaming Mouse - Blue

Get unsurpassed gaming performance with this Pro Laser Speed Gaming Mouse from Monoprice!

This is a plug and play, ambidextrous, lightweight, laser, gaming mouse with unmatched quality, stability, and performance. Its small size and high performance make it perfect for gamers who prefer the "claw-grip" style of mousing or those with small hands. It is also an excellent travel mouse for use with laptops.

The mouse features three resolution settings (400, 800, and 1600 dpi) and a 500 Hz USB report rate. The resolution can be easily changed on the fly simply by holding down both buttons and rotating the mouse wheel.

Ordinary optical mice have a light sensor that can continue to track when the mouse is as much as an inch above the mouse surface. By contrast, this mouse uses a custom designed laser lens that produces an exceptional lift-off distance of only about 2.0mm.

Pros: Used by a lot of pro Starcraft 2 players.
Similar shape to Logitech Mini Optical.

Cons: Might be too small if you like to palm grip.

I was getting frustrated looking for a new mouse. A lot of old Starcraft Brood War players used the Logitech Mini Optical, including me, but it is outdated now with only 400 dpi. I was having a really hard time getting used to new mice because of the different shape from my LMO.

The Mico was designed with the help of Starcraft 2 players, and it has a similar shape to the LMO. It's basically the closest you can get to an LMO with higher dpi. I was glad to see Monoprice carrying it because it because it is hard to buy in the USA otherwise, and I would have had to pay much more and wait longer for shipping.

If you claw or fingertip grip and want to try something that a lot of pro Starcraft 2 players use, then this is the first mouse I would recommend.
