    MONOPRIOCE Wall Mount Logo Locations

Sometimes you need to mount a display where there is no wall or where a wall mount solution would be inconvenient. In those cases you need a Ceiling TV Mount from Monoprice!

This mount attaches to a ceiling using two keyholes, which makes installation a breeze. The main support tube drops the center of the display down between 22.8" and 33.6" from the ceiling. The tube is hollow and can accommodate the cabling for a clean installation. The bracket has undergone extensive safety testing and has been certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which ensures that it will perform safely and reliably.

Safety Note! If you will be running your cables through the wall or ceiling, they must be rated for in-wall and in-ceiling use in order to conform to fire safety regulations.

The TV mounting plate accommodates displays with 75x75, 100x100, 200x100, and 200x200 VESA mounting patterns, which includes most 23" to 42" TVs*. It supports up to 55 lbs (including the weight of the bracket itself) and mounts the back of the TV 4.7" from the center of the main support pole. The mounted display can be swiveled ±90°, tilted ±15°, and rotated ±4°, allowing you to ensure that the display is leveled. Mounting hardware is included.

    * Note that the display screen size is only an approximation. Your TV is compatible with this mount as long as your display has a VESA mounting pattern and weight that fit within the size and weight limits listed above.

Note that the manual incorrectly states that the mount supports 360° rotation. We apologize for the error and will update the manual as soon as possible.

    Ceiling Mount Becomes Table Mount
I was able to flip the mounting bracket upside down and mount this on a table. I needed a higher mount than most desk mounts would provide and the desk mounts are much more expensive. This is awesome! Here is a picture of my setup www.twitch.tv/usbdtwax/profile the top monitor is the one that is using the ceiling mount.

PROS: Exactly what I was wanting, works great, easy to install, easy to position.

CONS: Cabling is kind of a pain but to look good it just takes a little extra time and I was able to fit 3 cables ( 2 HDMI and 1 TV power cord) down the pipe. I recommend running cabling before putting the tv on the mount or before mounting the pole to the ceiling or desk/whatever.

    Awesome unit
    5/5

PROS: Works like a champ, easy to install.

CONS: I thought it was able to spin 360 degrees, it does not. It spins maybe 200 degrees, so it works for my purposes.

    Perfect Solution
I would recommend this mount , quick to install, set up, and is very convenient with the hollow piping.

PROS: Easy to mount, plenty of hardware for attaching mount to wooden stud or concrete. I have it mounted to an outdoor covered patio using wooden studs.

CONS: The pipe when holding TV has some play, so it don't feel really firm. Mounted to a 42 in LED TV, which weighs only 26lbs, not even half the maximum weight limit. The 10 degree tilt +/- have not used it yet, since it seems to fit a perfect angle with the play

Works great, no reason to buy a more expensive TV ceiling mount
It's perfect. Easy enough to put together and very sturdy. I'm not sure how a $100+ TV mount would be better. Minor issues: 1) Even from an 8 foot ceiling, with the mount set to its shortest (closest to the ceiling) height, it's right in front of my face. when I'm standing I was hoping to have it higher up. 2) Instructions are a bit difficult to interpret. There are 3-4 sets of different-sized washers, but NO way to tell which one is for which purpose. But for around $20, BUY IT!

    PROS: Sturdy
    Low Cost
Just as good as mounts costing 5X as much
Easy enough to put together (after experimenting with hard-to-identify hardware)

CONS: Even at its shortest length, it's still much lower than I'd like.
Instructions don't help the user figure out which size-hardware is which

PROS: Everything works great! Excellent quality, much better than expected. Will buy more products from monoprice!

    CONS: None

    Works as expected
The mount comes with a lot of hardware (extra sets of bolts, etc.), which is nice, but strangely, there are four washers that go on bolts to mount the poles to each other and to the ceiling mounting plate, and those washers were one size too small they don't fit onto the bolts. Not a huge deal though.

Also, the holes in the posts that allow hidden cable runs were way too small to even run a thick HDMI cable through (with large ferrite beads). I wish that was bigger, I had to zip tie the HDMI and power cables to the exterior of the pole. Again, not a huge deal.

I mounted a 30lb TV, and the post definitely leans out quite a bit, so don't expect the post to stay perpendicular to the ceiling with a heavier TV. It's a sturdy mount, but there is a fair amount of "play" in the post. The play comes from how the post mounts to the ceiling plate. It's fine since you can adjust the angle of the TV to compensate, but if you are trying to get a very specific screen position, you'll need to factor in this "sway".

    Good product, Monoprice!

    PROS: Simple

    Cheap

    Effective

CONS: Hole to run cables is too small.

Mounting plate Trim makes creaking noises.

    Excellent ceiling mount
I continue to be impressed with Monoprice's mounts. I previously purchased wall mounts for two 60" TVs and a mount for my projector. They were all excellently constructed, very sturdy, and good design. This ceiling mount is also excellent. There are no weak points to the mount and it allows me to easily change angles or turn the TV in a different direction.

The only contstructive feedback I have is to make the opening for the HDMI cable at the bottom larger. It wasn't large enough to fit the cable end through as I have a large gauge HDMI due to the length required to run to the TV from my receiver. Not a big deal though as I secured the cables to the back of the post with black wire ties and it looks fine. I can't believe people still buy mounts from places like Best Buy, it's crazy. I tell everyone I know about Monoprice, especially about their mounts and cables. Good job Monoprice.

PROS: Heavy duty construction, good design, came with hardware to mount to my TV.

CONS: None that I can think of.

PROS: Nice looking, seems pretty solid, works weiil

CONS: I'd like to see a longer stem to attach the pole to as I always have to adjust the horizontal position of the screen whenever I rotate it. I'll probably just add a bracket of some sort to ensure the pole always hangs straight down.

Paired with the 400x200mm bracket universal adapter to mount a 42" TV from the ceiling. I have 2 HDMI cables running through the columb, but the width of the entry & exit points weren't wide enough to accommodate the VGA & power cables I was hoping to run as well.

As to the flip-flopping of steps 1 & 2: As instructed, I assembled the ceiling mount and upper portion of the column, taking care to include the plastic cover, before running the HDMI cable through, then attaching the lower portion of the column. Trouble was, the presence of the plastic cover and HDMI cable sticking out the top made it impossible to properly secure the mount to the ceiling joist. So I basically had to take the whole thing apart (except for removing the HDMI cable because, as I mentioned above, it was a pain to get through the exit point of the column), then install the ceiling mount, followed by the plastic cover and entire column. Then, proceeded on to step, which was a piece of cake from there.

Not really a con, but having seen other mounts in action, I'd prefer to be able to adjust the tilt without taking the TV and bracket off the column portion. Also, a spirit bubble or two (horizontal & vertical) would be nice so I could tell if the TV is, in fact level.

I wish I had more pros to specifically list, because it looks like I hated the thing, but truth is, it was fairly easy to install, and it looks pretty spectacular.

PROS: More-than-adequate quantities of hardware supplied.

    TV is still hanging.

Swivels left-to-right very easily (one of the main reasons I purchased this one rather than use one I found on Craigslist that had you rotate the entire column).

CONS: Width of entry & exit points for cables in columb.

Columb looks insecure when extended to their longest.

Stripped 1 of the 2 ceiling mounting bolts I needed for the wood beam option had to use a socket wrench to remove it (luckily, there were 2 more supplied, for those choosing the concrete mounting option).

I personally would have flipped steps 1 & 2 in the instructions (see review for more detailed info).

can I use this with a 70' Visio?
    A shopper on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV. It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters). Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!
